The ECU is *very* similar to the new arch of the 2.5 Forester. However it is uniquely different in its communication protocols.
This is a OBD only solution. No ECU removal. No sending out ECUs. In stock trim the tune is ...I would not say "aggressive" but it is "well done." Much better done from the factory than what you'd expect. This ECU / engine / vehicle also comes with some new cool stuff the previous gen did not have, like the new knock logic, the cam control, and the updated D4S (twin injection) control code. I appreciate the dialogue here. |

So that it's only making 5 more whp over the 91 tune, so shows there isn't much to be gained on the new platform. Unless some tuning house figures out some magic bullet header/cam timing/etc. Considering how much money goes into an OEM tune, it's looking like it not might be worth it.

I was going to say too, Delicious Tunning is on Alpha testing as of this moment, I think. Their IG page has been pretty active about it and it seems things are looking good. I personally, would much rather go for a company that has been dedicated to the platform (Delicious/CSG) than one that yes, they may offer another solution, but then at some point, decide to stop. In the case of OFT, which they didn't quite stop selling the product, just stopped actively supporting it.

This is a perfectly reasonable decision to make. And reminds me that I need to let everyone know and understand that we will NOT be offering tunes for this vehicle. Only tuning software (the end-user / tuner) will be making the tune. We support every platform in our software. Last edited by VF Tuner; 11-01-2022 at 09:41 AM. |

Do you think Edelbrock will be offering a Supercharge kit for the FA24? I believe Harrop already confirmed their supercharger physically fits onto the FA24, so assuming the same would be true for the Edelbrock..

I think a good header and e85 tune is going to net 10 percent over baseline which ain't too bad. They sell faster cars if you need one.

Aftermarket boost is hardly worth the effort unless it is just a street car. Even then, I wouldn't do it again after years of playing with a supercharged track car. Stock or near stock is best, and just enjoy the damn thing.

Apparently even FBO with E85, only make 2whp over the stock configuration with E85 with KevinVo’s car. So, 229whp vs 227whp with a catless header. What header? OTL Performance EL prototype. Idk of FBO 91/93 result as of yet.
