DIY JWMotoring LED turn signals

This is a very simple thing to do took maybe 10 mins and that was with taking pictures. This will cover the basic LED installation and the Swithback LED's

Tools needed. your keys, Philips head, and small flathead screwdriver, zipties
1 move seat all the way back and look under your dash you are going to find relay circled in red and remove the plug circled in blue, you will attach this to the supplied relay, ( ziptied the new relay under the dash)

2.get in your car, put your key in and turn to accessory. you do not need to actually park your car

3.. take your steering wheel and turn your wheels either all the way left or right depending on which side you want to start on.Turn off car remove keys

4.. get out and remove the three screws that hold the bottom of the wheel liner in. you may need to use your small flathead screwdriver behind the head of the screw

5. then you can pry the fender liner back and get to the bulb assy.

6. put your hand in the opening and grab the light assy and turn left and pull it out from the liner

7. put in the bulb you got to replace the your stock ones, before you put it back in your might turn on your park lights to be sure it lights up you can put these in backward and they wont work.

8. put the bulb assy back in turn to the right to lock it back in, put the screws back and repeat steps 2-8 for the other side, and your done

For noobs like myself, an important first step before installing the new relay is to disconnect the battery. Honestly, I learned that the hard way. Blew a fuse and I had no idea what the hell was wrong with my car.

There's a chance your buse won't blow if you don't disconnect the battery, but better to be safe than sorry. Especially since disconnecting your battery takes like a minute or two only.

Does the relay alone disable the usual DRL's, or was that another step?

Last weekend I installed a 6000k HID kit for my FRS and these LED turn signals will be a great addition. I was wondering if the LED white matches better with the 6000k or 5000k.

Someone correct me if Im wrong but by default, the indicators stay on with the lights on and only flash when you use the turn signal switch.

6000k matches these better. 5000k would be close and I doubt you could tell the difference.

I believe there is a difference across the different models on how these lights will work. I'll search for it when I get a free moment.

Someone that has the info help me out.

With the lights fully off (DRL on only) these lights are off and the high beam bulbs are at lower power for DRL's.

With parking lights on these lights come on, in addition to the DRL's.

Lights fully on the DRL's are off, these bulbs are on and the low beam bulbs are on.

It would be nice to have these bulbs on for the DRL instead of the high beam bulbs, but I'm not sure how much wiring work that would take.
