Detailers Domain Coming to the the DMV: Who wants Car Prep

The Run Down:

Details

Pricing: $650 Including Opticoat (Exterior paint correction only for better timetable, no interior or engine bay) this pretty much includes great results with proper paint correction.

Deposit: Required Non Refundable 50% up front (Paypal due No Later than 2/20/201) to phil@detailersdomain.com when sending it include details of your Name, Car, Make Model, Year and Color.

Time Frame: March 22nd and 23rd (Friday and Saturday) Saturday we will be hanging out at the shop and watching them do their magic on the cars (not bothering them too much) haha. Will have a BBQ going with some drinks and food.

There has been a slight change of plan, due to a storage situation cars will not be sitting there over Night.

Location: Ptuning. 9432 Center Point Ln Manassas, VA 20110

The Process:

The touch up paint I would say do it before hand but remember if we need to compound and polish the touch up may come off.

Exterior

- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with Auto Finesse Citrus
- Wheel wells were cleaned up
- Washed with Auto Finesse Lather
- Auto Finesse Iron Out
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Nano Scrub AutoScrub
- Dried
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- Paint Measurement
- Sonax 5/4 Fine Abrasive Polish - Uber Green Pad - Rupes LHR 21ES and LHR 15ES
- Opti Coat
- Inspection with various led and halogen lights
- Wheel wells were cleaned and dressed
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Windows were autoscrubed, cleaned, and sealed

Aye, I want. Not happy with my prior Opti-Coat application. Paying $650 twice, ouch.

Possibly be interested in a very minor interior detail (just windows...I can't clean windows to save my life!).

Count me in. The pro's not only doing the prep/correction but the application as well? Heck yes.

So they are trying to do about 15 cars within a few days literally working from sun up to down hence why I said interior and engine is out of the question for the most part to save on time.

If you want your interior done we can have a car cleaning day and can show you how to get it done. You'd be surprised your probably using the wrong glass cleaner.

Kanundrum - If we need space, either one of our garages would probably work for either the cleaning day or the actual DD day. (also within 1mi of eachother is handy :P )

If not, I can probably arrange some space at a shop in the area.

We need an area to handle all the cars at once (they will assembly line every car) I already have a shop that is willing to do it just need to confirm the cars really before I setup a master plan. If no one is confirmed then it changes a lot of things.

Ah, gotcha. That's fine then, no worries.

As far as glass, I use Stoner's...I just have issues with streaking that's really annoying.

Stoners is just fine but Adams/P21s is better. Chances are its probably the window thats causing it and not your cleaning ability

Gotcha.

I'd cross-post this to NASIOC to see if anyone in their Mid-A wants a Detailer's Domain detail.
