Any winter drivers want to chime in?
So cold. So so cold.
Car would not start. Boosted with a battery pack.
Belts hard as steel. Squealed like a stuck pig for about 3 minutes.
Coffee drive through poorly plowed. Nice wheel ruts with a solid ice build up of about 4' between them. Car has 3 1/2" clearance. Horrible noise.
Big chunk breaks off at end. Get's dragged under car for two blocks. Finally grinds down enough to bounce whole length of undercarriage. Even worse noise.
Even snow tires do not like that temperature. Turns made with extreme caution.
Small town where plant is only plows enough for farm truck. Main street pure glare ice. Antilock brakes proved their worth.
Did not crash even though car looks like I did!

Yea, I'm probably going to regret giving my stock FR-S rims away.

Did not crash.
So, I don't understand why they don't want to issue more that one vehicle parking permit per employee?

You are NOT going to drive more than one vehicle at a time to work -

Not really, you will be retired. All you will need is two sets of clothing. One set to wear while the other set is being washed. Got it?

(maybe three sets for the mrs - )

If we have to drive a different car we are supposed to go to personnel and get a temp permit for the day. maybe I'll just waste everyone's time and go get a temp permit everyday.

There ya go - wear-em down, maybe after several days, they will cave and make you an exception -

Around here that would go on for about three days in a row and they would just say screw it and give you a permanent one.

Of course there is about a 99.5% chance of whatever they are using for a parking permit can be relatively easily duplicated unless there is some sort of RFID tag associated with it.

I once worked in a corporate HQ building that was supposed to be secure. No one was allowed out of the lobby unless they had a company badge or were escorted. The only real check was the security desk was in full view of the elevators and they watched everyone, but you didn't have to check in as long as they could see your badge.

Didn't take long for people to realize that if they forgot their blue badge with the yellow stripe, they could flash their Blockbuster card held just so and they could get right through.
