I'm in. I might take the MR2 so that I can just drop it off at the shop after the drive... but that means I'm gonna take it easy due to the issues with it.

( I don't even want to go that section solo).
Is it the same as or narrower than the narrow parts of Mines Rd? More like Calaveras Rd? We will be very cautious whenever there is a one-lane section.
Everyone bring your radios if you have 'em!

Hell narrower than the narrow part of Mines!! Many sections only one car can pass, that means mountain on the right, slope or cliff on the left, with perhaps a couple feet left. I was totally freaking out last time in the middle of it, and only find the road getting more narrow when drive deeper! Almost want to reverse gear the car back out (i did that for like a few car space) but found that is even more dangerous. Finally end up approaching many one lane blind corners like driving out from parking lot on each one, slowly peek each one make sure there is no car from other direction coming. Total stuck and blind, so glad my BRZ and me can go home that day.

It's narrower than the single lanes on Mines. With blind corners and hairpins. Imagine the single lanes on Pinehurst. And we managed that no problem.

I just looked on Google Maps. Wooo that's tight. But it only goes that way for about 4 miles or so. If we have a train of 4-5 cars there we can "persuade" whoever we run into to back up haha. But with a little luck there will be no traffic that early. Guess we'll see how many people can join us, if it's too many then we can take an alternate route.

Nice. Let's get some more south bay'ers to go, even if it's just to chill at Starbucks. Coffee sounds great afterwards as well

yeah... well for those who refuse to wake up early haha, they could always meet us at Alice's for breakfast or something. We'll probably be there by 9 right? I do have to roll off by 930 or so but no doubt some can stay around and even do more driving after.

La Honda starts just behind the restaurant so a quick stop here is welcome. Then down La Honda until a parking lot/stores appear on the right. Back up La Honda towards Alice's again. Going against gravity is just as fun as going along with it. After this, I may head towards 92 to head home.
Damn, you guys are bumming me out since I can't make it

I can't think of a place worse to test boost, lol. But seriously, real good route but like what @86BRZ mentioned, please do be careful.

I've never driven that section of Skyline before, but a possible alternative would be Black Rd, which begins slightly north of Bear Creek, and joins Skyline after that skinny section. However, Black Rd does have a few single-lane sections as well, but not very long.

Has anyone driven from hwy 4, Bear Valley to South Lake Tahoe. It is a great road. It turn into a one lane as it gets narrow. But it's a beautiful scenic drive. I think the road is still close due to the snow. But in June it is nice. It can be dangerous so have be on alert at all time.
