Evo and Car rated it 4stars. Saving the fifth star for the really "sporty" version GRMN plus...

Just ordered my license plate. Apparently you can't have a "V" on NC plates.

But they let you have the Ericsson triple sausage logo on the plate.

I see what you did there... Clever.

Didn't realize you can use "/" as a license plate character. I'm gonna make sure our VINwiki PL82VIN supports this now.

Personal plates are so cheap... In the UK, they're crazy money. Does the plate belong to the vehicle or the owner?

In the UK the plate can be transferred from one vehicle to another (at a cost!). And, can be sold on the open market.

Yep, $1.70 for a litre of standard unleaded fuel. But the octane levels are higher.

Plate belongs to me. I ordered it for my 86, since I'll get my Supra before the plate arrives.

In the US it varies by state, as the license plate laws are state jurisdiction, not federal. In Georgia, you retain the plate when you sell a vehicle and can transfer it to the new vehicle, or dispose of it.

In some other states, the plate stays with the car when its transferred.

Here's a site that shows it by state.

I realize this isn't your words, but I just wanted to comment...

That, or the torque is falling at higher rpms, so horsepower stays flat. There are definitely plenty of engines that use a smaller turbo for faster boost or torque, but that falls more in the high rpms when the turbo is actually more of a restriction.

The 2.0T in the Accord and Type R are a good example of a small turbo versus a larger turbo:

Quote:
Chief powertrain engineer Terunobu Kunikane told us that a major differentiating part is the Accord’s smaller-diameter turbocharger. While this lowers the relative peak pressure, the Accord’s turbo spools quicker because there’s less inertia. The charged air also hits the turbine vanes at a sharper angle, which increases the amount of force on the vanes, helps provide quicker throttle response, and increases torque at lower revs.

Here are some stock dynos of a WRX and STI. Both have a flat spot in horsepower when their torque starts to fall.

Days of balancing the clutch, getting the revs just right and changing gears just banished forever!!

Where's the skill gone?? The Supra "driver" spent more time looking out of side window..

It’s been gone for a long time. Gearless electric cars will soon replace even the paddle shifters.
