Mike at Infamous came to the rescue to push them back on and clamp them down so I could limp home and get new lines put on. After some degreasing and while limping home the lines popped on the radiator side. F! Oil EVERYWHERE again! I had to borrow some tools from a shop nearby where I broke down, rip the bumper and intercooler off in a parking lot, get an Uber driver to take me to Parker Hoses where they press fitted some fancy new blue high pressure high temp hoses and installed permanent oketer clamps. Reinstalled and degreased (again) and now I'm all set. 18 quarts of oil and $350 later...I'm installed the way it should have come from the beginning.
.....Jesus Christ..... yeah it's a huge over sight not putting clamps on, or even mentioning that in the instructions. I'm going to look into having custom lines made. So I don't have to worry about going through this again in the future.

Proven otherwise - please revise your kit before sending more out. Not trying to be an ass I just don't want other to go through what we had to. Luckily no perm. damage was done.

Yeah, fixing the pictures hasn't been too high on my priority list. KW has the pictures. I can guarantee they aren't as juicy as people think.

Here are the new hoses I purchased for the fittings - professionally installed. They said the lines should have never shipped separate from the fittings as they require a special hydraulic press tool to properly install.

That's what I was thinking. How much did the new lines run you?

$40 for the hoses.
$150 in oil (18 quarts)
$90 in labor (tool usage and some assistance)
$20 in degreaser
$40 in Uber charges
6 hours of unexpected time off

Those are pretty

Hopefully there's no unseen long term damage from the oil lines popping off.

Both times the car was shut off instantly when the lines blew so I'm fairly confident that the car is fine. I'm now questioning the SC oil lines. What kind of pressure do those see? Are the spring clamps enough?

Btw, I'm loving the KW SC kit and the power! It's a shame this happened with the oil cooler because I'm really happy with the rest!

I'm so paranoid after the brake lines though that I keep thinking I hear other noises.

For instance, after a WOT run I hear a flutter at cruise speed. It shouldn't be the bypass because I'm only running 3k or so and not varying speed. The flutter increases with RPM. It's almost like a belt or pulley flutter noise but the belt is taught and the pulleys are spinning true. I'm going to have Mike at Infamous check everything over tomorrow just to be sure

True push-lok (or loc) hose and fittings shouldn't have these issues...

Only thing I can think of is maybe the hose that was shipped out isn't correct for the application and expands a little too much under pressure. Obviously the push-lok hose has to stay tight as hell to keep it from flying off those fittings under pressure.

Here's what Parker says in the push-lok manual
Quote:
Caution: Push-Lok fittings will
properly grip Push-Lok hose
only when pushed all the way
in with the cut end of the hose
completely concealed by the
yellow plastic cap.
Sealing integrity may be damaged
by using exterior clamps.
I'm sure you've got to try pretty hard to get that hose shoved into place properly...

That's all I got for now

If you need me to snap some more I can try

Also the instructions don't mention it, but clamp the ends of the lines. Otherwise lines will pop off....
Did you loose a lot of Rotrex Oil? I only have a little bit left over the install. Darn oil ain't cheap.
