Definitely have to be extra careful in the rain since its RWD and a lightweight car.

Seriously, do you feel you want to do that slide again? This thing can get addictive.

I don't know...but if it's raining then yes.

Actually...Yes
I always want to try drifting (Initial-D is one of my favorite anime), maybe after I have more seat time on the track.

My first RWD was a 5speed S13. I never got into drifting, but it was pretty damn fun to give it a little gas every now and then around a turn after a recent rain...

However, the first time my tail end (unintentionally) lost traction was around a turn in a 98 gmc sierra. That was not fun. My boxer's didn't appreciate it either.

So, yeah, it's fun to slide around, until you don't mean to, then it's just scary. Please be careful everyone!

This is my first RWD car as well. I granny the shit out of it when making turns in the rain. You can never be too careful...

This time when my frs slide, I decided to counter steer a tiny little bit, let off the gas pedal, and the car stayed in the same lane and get straight real quick.
Yep, nicely balanced cars are very forgiving. Steer in the right direction and let off the gas, it will straighten out quite nicely. That was the beautiful thing about the FC rx7, 50-50 weight distribution, no matter how stupid I got it would straighten back up haha.

Oversteer FTW!! lol

When you not expecting it, it can lead to skidmarks in your trousers.

My first RWD was a Toyota Hilux. Loved drifting that thing in the rain.
Then on to my MR2 Spyder (turbo). Snap oversteer on that is crazy. No driver aids besides ABS.

The 86 is much more forgiving. I also dont drive with driver aids on. I hold down those 2 buttons as soon as I start up.

oh nice, I also still have my MR2 Spyder, but no turbo. Great handling, but like you said no aids but ABS and the car is less forgiving. I like to describe it as, sport mode is always on haha. But I do feel more confident in the BRZ at the edge of traction, so I am certainly faster in it than in the MR2.*

* this is all on the track, of course. Everyone please be safe.

Never think that would happen even with traction and everything on.
So lucky I managed to correct her instead of sliding into the curb.
It rained for the first time after a while, so maybe that helped a bit.
Just want to say, drive safe everyone and don't be as stupid as I was.
And btw the car responds really well, the whole "action" was so smooth.
Maybe it looks cool from the outside, just not knowing that it scared the shit out of me.
on rainy days shift early. instead of being in 2nd at 25mph be in 3rd. these cars make so little torque down low that if you keep the revs down you wont have any problems keeping on track. Just like someone said before. first rain or 2 are the worst for traction.

Side note my RWD cars have been my first car an 88 300zx, 88 RX-7 and 72 240z. I've learned the hard way and spun in my RX-7 on a 30mph corner in the middle of town. got lucky i didnt hit anyone in the oncoming traffic lol.

I don't know why but I'm always drifting when it rains. I actually like it, even though it's scary as hell haha. This morning (was raining pretty hard), I made a really fast turn in 3rd at around 40 mph and almost did a 130 degree spin. It was scary but extremely fun! Cool thing was that a cop was at the red light looking at me and eventually caught up to me and gave me a thumbs up lol. Best cop experience ever. I'm in no way into drifting or anything at all but every once in a while, I like to get tail happy haha.

Obligatory "keep it on the track", "keep the nannies on while it's raining", etc. comment.

I also like to shift before or after long turns especially the downshifts.
