OK, then, consider taking up a different sport.

Oh yes, girlfriends don't cost much, till you marry one of them -

Single gals at an autox, that's funny.

There's simpler way, as long as the end of the drain hose is lower than the bed. Connect the drain hose to a faucet and put water in it until it is starting to fill the bed. Then, undo the hose and let it drain. As long as the water is draining below the level of the bed it will create its own suction.

I know, not much help now.

Yep, I slept in a water bed through high school, which had the advantage of providing cooling during the summer since my childhood home did not have air conditioning.

I also had one as an adult for about 4 years right after college, but had to get rid of it when i moved into an apartment that restricted them.

I've also used that method to empty my share of above ground pools through the years.

Oh, OK - I didn't know they had water beds in Georgia back then -

I've never to empty a water bed, but if I had to, this is the way I would do it.

Attach a hose to the water bed and run the hose outside the house, downhill all the way. Jump in the bed with a small knife and blanket and pillow. Make a small slit in the upper left corner of the water mattress. Nap till the sleeping surface got real hard and woke me up.

if they'll take that, my grandfather has some underwear they might be interested in. people that lived near the end of the depression save EVERYTHING.

worked in a house a while back that a pipe in the kitchen burst in the dead of winter when it was -20. they were either out of town or didn't notice and came back the next morning to a flooded basement with 3" of water across the entire main floor.

for reasons i don't remember, the fire department shut off their electric service, and all of their water beds froze solid. it was a weird feeling bumping into the bed while working around it, and feeling like i slammed into a slab of granite.
