Hm... I'm not running stock rotor w these pads, so I can't say... but I think, someone who bought W3 pads might of cracked the stock rotors. BUT don't quote me on this. I heard it somewhere & idk how much beating that rotor went through or what other pads owner used before.

Not only Cusco USA 86 use these pads, but RS-R, Beat-Sonics & several other tuning shop's car uses these pads. Also Moto-san (Solo2 champion) uses these pads on his 86.

It's worth checking out.

If you guys are wondering, Cusco USA 86 took first place in FT86Nation autox Unlimited Class

& as you can see, Cusco USA 86 is NA. They were competing against SC & other modded 86s. They got feedback from driver (several pro/semi-pro drivers) & adjusted the suspension setup.

& yes, I was there enjoying the event too (taking a photos) lol

I wouldn't run an oiled filter if I were you, risky contaminating the MAF and probably has less filtration letting more crap into the engine. Paper filter is generally the best.

Flame suit on.

I would just stick with the stock paper filter to be honest. Mann or Mahle for German cars. Not sure who OEMs the Japanese cars.

I remember when AEM first came out with dryflow, a type of polymer filter that mimics a paper filter but washable, and oil-free. I'm not sure if they make a stock one that would fit our cars (it was a cone filter on an AEM cold air intake back in the day). Funny thing is I also heard it was co-developed with K&N. Go figure lol!

The JDM TRD panel filter looks very much like it could be a dryflow? (JDM vs NAR - North American Region TRD stuff are completely different things).

I wouldn't go with foam filters either (I think Syms makes one), they don't filter as well as paper imo.

Stock intake these days are actually very efficient but nobody would admit it just for the sake of modding and sound. I want my engine to be clean first and formost not more flow while letting more crap inside.

If you hurry you can sneak in on this:

http://519auto.ca/threads/1981-Carbo...-Pad-Group-Buy

For filters, JRP can also get dry flow filters. The TRD filter is oiled from what I've been told by a couple parts guys.

I believe this was tested by one of the vendors - they found that the K&N replacement filter element was one of the best - it didn't give the highest peak gain, but the gain across the revs was better than the element that did give the best peak gain (IIRC it was HKS?)

Also, I could be wrong, but didn't Shiv from Vishnu post here saying the stock airbox is already very good? IOW, the CAI not only doesn't make much power, but in some cases, lost some - you're better off with replacing the stock element in the stock airbox.

I got the K&N - not expensive (~$50), but I can't say I felt much different - sounds better for sure though.

What's the deal with brzworld?

I found a their business card on my windshield last summer. I checked out the website then and just checked it again now and it's still under construction. I see they have a store though. So what is it, a club or a store?

It's a club ran by a fellow by the name of Barrington, the club is doing quite well. I went out with them a few times, all really nice, welcoming people but now he has the online store as well where he sells some products and what not

Both. The store is a convenience for members and anyone else.

A very active, friendly, fun club, a lot of great people.
Along with many events (tracking, cruising, karting etc.) the club also plans to have a place to work on our cars.

I'm looking forward to the Dragons Tail this summer !
