I'm thinking Summit over the summer. They have open track days on Fridays IIRC. Otherwise, perhaps I'll hit up an autocross...but the new tires almost scare me.

I prefer high tops; usually the "fashion" sneakers only come in mid tops though. The higher the top the more lateral support and stability there is for your ankle, which I find is an issue - at least for me anyway.

I never noticed how much having a rolled heel would help until I started driving this car. Wearing normal shoes gets kind of annoying since my heel wants to settle into a certain spot.

Did auto crossing once with my mid tops (Space Jams). I forgot my driving shoes at home. I usually like a nice low top to stretch my feet if I need to or I'll get too stiff with high tops (depending how long the driving codition goes for).

Nice Orb! those are great looking shoes, functional too. I always wanted to do Summit's time attack amateur class, but as we all know motorsport is a break the bank sport. Not sure if I could ever get a car to be time attack ready. And in all honestly.... The 86 class isn't a very good time attack car imho, but it is fun that's for sure.

the one i bought seems more fro everyday use than driving just because it has the sole doesn't mean it's a driving shoe lol, but hey something new to try for me, Hope they fit. I hear Pumas can be too narrow.

.

Id start with autocrossing first, you learn a lot and the limits of your tires which all tires have. Tracked before?

Just got a call from the dealer. My plates are in and I can replace the temporary.
Two weeks vacation starts Saturday and I'm FREEEEEE !!!!!

Would have had to wait a bit because the temp expires the 14th.

If I say Forza, will you smack me? The tires scare me because you can be so much more rough and sudden with the car before the tires break loose...

So i do plan on modding my 86, but i wanna do headers before the rest of the exhaust. Just dont know if the headers can match up directly with the stock exhaust. Its the UEL headers off fa20club, think they were the hks ones. Also, if i have just headers, will i get the boxer burble this car ahould have had from the bwginning?

Ooo, and will i lose any power?

And on a random note, been having luck making friends on okcupid. Also, chinese foods needs to hurry

Manifold will make your car louder and it'll sound more like a WRX...but if your exhaust is stock it'll sound more like a stock WRX (unimpressive).

So just the uel headders wouldnt give it enough burble. Damn. Guess ill have to see how it sounds, or save up to get the full exhaust at once.

Something to share with y'all. Cook this, and love it. Japanese curry.

Yeah it should be fine. My recommendation would be to add a track pipe ($99 new but you can always find them cheap from a member). It's insane how good these cars sound with no rear muffler. One local guy just sold his for $25 lol and a few guys I know have the Berk single which sounds great. Is the tip worth the extra? meh. But anyway in the end you'll be able to really get that boxer sound out.

On this note, am I one of the few people who prefers EL headers sound wise? I like how clean they sound, especially when revving.
