Even though it's fake paint, still not cool. Personally, i put a LOT of time, effort, money, and care into keeping my paint as close to perfect as possible. If someone were to spray some chemical on my $25,000 car that i didn't want there, they would get their ass beat whether it's permanent or not. (Though i do share his disdain for those who double park)

Hell, even if you take two spots up in the front i still don't care. I'm not going to park in the front. Trying to avoid the body shop for as long as possible.

This is how I park too most of the time, while that edge drive is somewhat of an ass for parking this way (imo) at least there is a good chance he wasnt carrying a passenger. At least you still had a "normal" space between your car and his.

I know how you feel

Not in a corner but I do take my time parking my car in the middle of the slot to have as much space from the neighboring cars to avoid dings, then this happens…

I think I have realised why this happens. Most of these people don't have a sense of where the boundaries of their car are and they can't see the parking spot markings clearly. They use neighbouring cars to align their own cars.

That is why, even when I park far away with no cars next to me, I will come back to find a car parked next to mine.

One of the few good things of living in Dallas (least my part of town) is a lot of the stores and places have multi level parking garages. So you can find an empty level to park. My local Wal-Mart has a 3 level parking garage and the second level is mostly empty so I park there. The1st and 3rd level is usually packed. My local grocery store Tom Thumb also has a underground parking garage and almost no one parks down there. Most people don't know it is there.

Empty second level atWalmart

Zoo on the third level
