Header to engine block nuts stuck

So I’m trying to install my PLM UEL headers on my FR-S, but I cannot get the nuts that hold the headers onto the engine block off. I’ve tried mostly everything. Torch, PB blaster, and lots of effort. Despite all of this, I’ve made no progress. Not sure where to go from here so if any of you have any suggestions I’d really appreciate it.

I could probably use a torque wrench and pull a bit harder, I’m just afraid I might break one of the studs

That`s the scary part. I used a breaker bar on mine but they were not very old and still quite locked on.

Ah I see. Any idea if I could just take it into a muffler shop and only have them take off the nuts. I want to rlly just send it with a breaker bar but I’m afraid I’ll strip the nuts to no return

Heat and beat.

Penatrent, some heat, and an impact. With corroded fasteners you want to shock them. Dont' hit them too hard with the impact though you don't want to bust them completely.

You don’t think an impact might break the stud?

you definitely don't want to be using a torque wrench in this case.

Maybe try driving the car for a bit, get the parts nice and hot, and try again (carefully). Good luck.

I make my mechanic do everything. I sit in the waiting room and the parts are magically on the car shortly after. Not sure if anyone else has discovered this trick?

Not no but Hell No on that one.

Heat it, Penetrant it, twist it, rinse and repeat until it comes loose or breaks. If the stud breaks no big deal just replace the stud.

I hope it's for pay, not at gunpoint.

Seriously though, if unsure just take it to a muffler shop where they know what they're doing.

When I did mine car was maybe 2 years old and I sprayed it with release stuff and let it get right in for a few minutes then I was able to break them free with a socket wrench and a bit of muscle.
