Future SE WI BRZ Owner
Hi everyone-
I've been monitoring the boards here ever since the BRZ/FR-S was announced; expecting that I would someday be a proud owner. As a father of 3, ages 14, 10, and 8; the Twins were released at a time that a 2-door 2+2 did not fit into my lifestyle. However, that did not keep me from buying a $2,500 1990 Miata just after my third was born. The Miata was my first "true" sportscar; and it spoiled me to the point that I can't ever see wanting anything responsible in the future. My current adult car is a 2006 Acura TSX, which I love dearly in all ways other than it being RWD. My car plan is that when my oldest starts driving, we will share the TSX and I will replace my Miata (already sold) with a BRZ for my daily driver. I'm hoping for a 2017 (with PP) or newer, but may need to "settle" for an older model to fit my budget. We shall see. I'm hoping Subaru announces a turbo version which will drop the currently astonishingly high resale values on these great little cars that are deemed by most to be under-powered. I think they are just right. Enough pep to wring out on most roads and have fun without garnering too much attention or getting yourself into trouble with the law. Now that I am in the home-stretch of ownership (18-months away), I'll probable get more involved in the conversation. Best- Mike |

So I posted this in the Toyota section...rookie move. I wish I could say this is my first car forum and use that as an excuse, but I've been a member at more forums than I would like to admit.
Hi everyone, I have been a lurker here since the 86 came out. I picked up a 2013 Limited earlier this year with 3k miles (I passed 3k on my test drive). I was out of the country over the summer but now I am back and looking forward to putting a wrench to my BRZ. I just got my ECUTek stage one flash installed earlier this week, it definitely smoothed out the power delivery quite a bit. I will be trying out HKS' new short snorkel along with a Perrin intake hose in the intake side. On the back end I am going with a Gruppe-S header and 2.5in SRS catted OP/FP. I couldn't find any info on SRS around these parts, but they have good reviews with regard to build quality and fitment from the DSM world so I figured I would give them a shot, especially considering that as long as they fit you can't really screw up a OP/FP. I will post a review once I get it all bolted up. I appreciate the knowledge base this site provides, and I look forward to contributing. |

New to BRZ's - Not New to Subarus
I purchased my BRZ this last weekend, It is a 2013 Limited in WRB with every option available (6 speed). it has 44k miles, and came with a 100k 4 year bumper to bumper warranty. There was 1 previous owner who was a 50 year college professor, so it is completely stock and unmolested.
I first car was a 95 legacy LS followed by a 99 legacy gt wagon that i did a WRX swap, 5 speed swap and added a ton of mods too. I sold that and bought a Mini Cooper S and modded that a ton and loved it but it was practical being a big skier. I currently own a 03 lifted forester XS with a AUS 4wheel low transmission, and a 2016 Crosstrek Limited. I sold my motorcycle for a new fun car. and ended up with the brz. WRB being my least favorite color but the options / price couldnt be beat. British Racing Green was my least Favorite color for Mini's when I bought mine, and it ended up turning into my favorite color Mini. Plans For Next Spring: Perrin 2.5" Resonated Catback 45% tint all around Enkei RPF1 17x7 ET42 Wheels in Black Shark Fin Antenna swap Morimoto LED Fogs and far down the road BuddyClubRacing Tail Lights. I do plan on Autocrossing it and keeping it in a DS Street class, so nothing major with power / handling mods. the rest will be for aesthetics. So here is a picture of my "very unique" WRB BRZ I get delivered tomorrow (16-Oct-2017) Along with the last few fun cars I've owned. -B |

New here? Come say hi =)
Hello from Norway!
Got my WRB BRZ this summer, 2013 registered in 2014. I decided I wanted an 86/BRZ in manual, went to test drive one, but they only had an auto. Long story short, I ended up falling in love with the auto and buying the demo car two hours after entering the shop 😊 Car was bone stock on purchase. Mods so far: - CNT v2 UEL header - Overpipe which I can't remember the name of - Debadged - Tune with OFT (- Perrin 3" intake arriving this week) Next up will be some slight lowering, spacers to get the wheels flush, a front pipe and catback. Also really want a ducktail and a splitter up front |

I’m Jaybee and I live in Socal, Rancho Cucamonga specifically. Last Saturday I bought myself a 2017 BRZ from Subaru Ontario last Saturday. It was my birthday on 10/7 so this is pretty much my birthday gift to myself lol Before this I’ve had: 05 RX8 (used to drift this one a lot) 92 Miata 05 350z 08 Rabbit 03 Mini Now, where are all the SoCal 86 people at! Would love to make new friends 😁

Hi everyone, my name is Bob. I've been lurking on the forum for a while and have now decided to join up after finally buying a BRZ.
This car will take over Hill climb and Super Sprint duties from a Bugeye STi I had previously. The reason for the change was the Bug was getting a bit tired and I didn't see much value in freshening it up (I would have gone overboard and it wouldn't have been reliable anymore), so I decided on a new car and a new challenge.
