I just wanted to check if I wired everything up correctly from the starting from the top left row is pin number 1. I'm tapping 12v power for the DRL's just below the horn assembly but DRL's do not light up when driving regularly. If anyone can correct or verify that it was wired correctly I would really appreciated it, Thanks in advance! |

Correct.
I've read about a DRL resistor behind the bumper, I wonder if it's missing from our cars?

don't you think the DRL relay slot means it works as resistor too ? |

Ok so this is a mod on my small list that I am checking off. My question is when I order the LHD set of lights do the HID bulbs and balast come with the lights?
I also plan on cracking them open and blacking the chrome out around the projector. Thanks in advance. I am sure I will have wiring questions once I get them.

Curious to how many people would be interested in a Plug and Harness for the FRS to GT86, Eurospec LHD and 10Series lights.

More interest in these than what I expected. I have some available. PM me because the way these are wired you actually have a couple options on brightness of the L.E.D's. These are OEM CONNECTORS wired specifically for your taste.

I did some digging and found part numbers for the headlight to harness connectors just to see how much it'd cost to make one myself. An 8pin JDM to 6pin FRS adapter would cost $50+....I think I'd rather save some money and just re-pin the JDM 8-pin onto the FRS 6-pin for $6.
FRS 6-pin: Male connector: 90980–11033 ~$6 Male terminals: 82998–12430 ~$15 Male seals: 82998–12450 ~$5 Female connector: 90980–11034 ~$6 Female terminals: 82998–12460 ~$15 Female seals: 82998–12440 ~$5 JDM 8-pin: Male connector: 90980–10896 ~$7.50 Male terminals & seals: same as male 6-pin Female connector: 90980–10897 ~$7.50 Female terminals & seals: same as female 6-pin Source: http://www.toyota-tech.eu/wire_harness_rm/RM06H0E.pdf

Harnesses from DeOppressorLiber
Got the harnesses from DeOppressorLiber and man were they helpful. After a pain in the rear bumper removal (more than likely cause I did it alone) the harnesses were just what I needed.

Has anyone plugged in the auto levelling ECU into a FRS or base model 86? I'm assuming it works plum n play but somebody put doubt in my mind saying it's dangerous and you can brick the whole car/ECU by doing something like this? Would love to hear if someone has fit the auto levelling ECU. I need to in order to run the The GTS hids legally in Australia and is only thing holding me back Last edited by ganjara; 11-21-2015 at 02:34 PM. |

Surely you'd need the leveling sensors on the front and rear control arms as well?

Yep correct, there's only one leveling sensor on the rear lower control arm though.
Have never understood how that sensor actually transmits information to the ECU as I can't see any OEM wiring, but that's another issue lol |

Resurrecting this old thread...
From reading the thread it sounds like the gt86 and jdm lights would be wired the same since Moto-P seems to use either title interchangeably. However, I picked up a set of jdm lights (will swap to lhd cutoff) and they only have 6 wires in the 8 pin harness, not 7 like in Moto-P's guide. For anyone who installed actual jdm lights (and not euro gt86 lights), what order did you pin the wires? I saw the garagefrs page, and the lights they used also have 6 wires but not all the same colors (theirs has a white wire but mine has a green wire). So it's a bit confusing!
