Oof. TIL something is off in tax withholding 'cause we owe like $6k. Pending review, maybe there was a prep mistake but you'd think a CPA firm knows their stuff. Very baffled. Yay tax refund sales to rub it in.

You have too much money. Spend it quickly before you do something embarrassing.

Maybe the exchange rate makes them cheap over there.

Today (yesterday) I learned that measuring bolt patterns is from top-to-center, not center-to-center. I'm locally selling my old snow tires from my other car. The rims accept multiple bolt patterns.

Today (Yesterday) I learned that the clutch fork can get extremely dry to the point that vibrations in the engine bay, specially when in gear, when not pressing the clutch , can make the most annoying "Ding, ding, ding, ding" sound.

I knew it wasn't the TOB, because the sound was very different compared to a blown TOB. I've been dealing with a slight squeak when pressing the clutch pedal, which only requires a little bit of grease on either the foot-well area, slave cylinder-to-fork pivot.

I noticed that once the vehicle got warmer, the noise would come on, I would press very slightly, even with a finger on the clutch, and it would go away. Opened the hood, press the cylinder against the fork, it would also go away. Which led me to believe that maybe during my engine bay cleanups, dirt, condensation accumulation, some contaminants got past the dust boot insert and dried the fork. I sprayed some CRC Red Grease 03079 and so far so good. Slight noise here and there but nothing like before.

TIL imposter syndrome can come and go like the flick of a switch. One moment you feel like an expert, and then the next you feel like a dumbass.

Today I learned that I enjoy working in the office but only when it's empty. We had a tube strike today, the rail service was okay so I managed to get in with only a 30min walk to the office from the train station. Fellow workers decided to WFH..

I need to find a job that has no interaction with other workers. Open to ideas? I am prepared to learn..
