That's everywhere, I deal with obsolete tools every day. There is no appreciation for the old guys that keep it running in semis. But the market is huge for them. Find some 8" semi equipment right now and people who can make it work. Gold.

Meh, not sure I want the 3-cylinder. Even if they could turn it up to 300 like the Corolla (I doubt it, transmission has trouble at that point) and keep the price from jumping up to Supra levels, you have to raise the hood a good amount. If they had the gumption to narrow the engine bay and put double wishbones up front I’d be interested, solid Z fighter at that point, but that would be a massive upheaval to Subarus factory to do that, at $30k+ I’d rather try a used Cayman or Boxster in the near future.

I think they hit a real sweet spot with the 2.4L, enough power to make buying a 981 or older Base Pcar look like a mediocre proposition.

It doesn't matter, it's not happening. Just like a supermodel isn't showing up at my door in the next 5 minutes.

I'd be down with that if they can keep the weight down.

Not to mention that if that was the car Toyota wanted to make they would have done so in the first place.

The word is by 2025, they wont offer the GR86 in Europe due to emission standards. Toyota will fully adopt the emission standards by 2030 which probably means the end or an EV model.
