All right. Thanks for the help, gentlemen.

So the final question remains: 2.5 or 3 inch exhaust? Will there be additional power available by going with 3" or will 2.5" be enough?

You'll be fine with 2.5". If you were going turbo, 3" would be the better way to go for sure. With a supercharger, you'll get gains over 2.5" by going 3", but the added noise isn't really worth the minimal improvements.

@SirBrass is right. 2.5" with a catless header is already going to be pretty loud when you step on it, but who cares cuz racecar! Hopefully you've done a little insulation.

Catless JDL UEL header is why I capped my engine-back exhaust (got a hfc + hemholz in the np fp/op) with an invidia q300. It's still QUITE audible when you apply gas, but not too loud, and really very very pleasant to listen to.

Stock exhaust is next quietest, I think. That or the Greddy axleback. All of the other AB's and CB's will just make it louder. If that's your think, okay, but you don't have to have it monstrously loud without screwing up your performance either.

True, but wife wouldn't like it loud, and it not being all that loud is great for not attracting the attention of the po-po (who might decide to put a laser onto the "loud car" to see if there's anything they can legitimately ticket me for, like speeding).

JRSC + P&L EL catless header/overpipe + Invidia catted (hi flow) front pipe/Q300 (all 2.5") = quiet cruising but wakes up nicely with rpms/wot. Cold start near and below freezing is fairly loud but quiets down quickly if you start moving. The best part is driving up five stories through a garage at work...constantly surprises me when I walk out of the car and realize it's not a muscle car

The Q300 really is a must (that or the Greddy AB... both are the quietest exhausts on the aftermarket IIRC) for those wanting a good rumble but don't want super loud volume after installing catless headers.

I wonder if it's quieter than the TRD? I also have a JDL UEL and a Nameless HFC mid, and my car is "enthusiastic", to say the least.

So I'm not derailing the thread: I still love my JRSC.

Must be given the difference in size bw the cans (smaller on TRD), though I never heard TRD...I'm derailing the thread and I love my JRSC

Anybody with the kit notice any gains with lightened pulley kits? Considering getting the NST 3pc Kit to put on @*LongFella car when I buy it off him. Is it worth the $ to buy this. Already going to be doing FlexFuel Kit and tune, and testpipe. Or should I put $200 towards UEL header and overpipe instead?

Save the money for a header, you'll see way more gains.

You will definitely see more gains and get a bigger bang for your buck with the headers and flex fuel. The pulleys were really a butt dunno free the revs type mod. I liked the look of the red in the engine bay too.

It's not a performance mod per say... Any lightening of the fly wheel, pulley, and drive shaft will help with freeing the revs. It doesn't had HP (IMO)
