I used to have crappy ebay HIDs on my car, my HB3 (drl/high beams) used to NEVER work properly. Only one side of the HB3s come on, while my H11s worked perfectly fine. Will these HIDs both work?

For the FRS, HB3/9005 HID won't work properly but LED will.

Here are 2 options:
3535 LED ($29.98 CAD a pair)
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37410

http://www.autolismo.com/headlight-t...aItem-imlh4sw4

LED headlight ($99.99 CAD a pair)
http://www.autolismo.com/headlight-taillight

Both of them are plug and play. However, the DRL will become full power, not half power (will not dim like halogen). When you flash your highbeam during the day, nothing will happen since the DRL is already at its brightest. At night the highbeam will work fine (full power), plus flashing.

Yeah, at this point I'm either considering buying winjets and HID swapping them or sticking with these and getting HID/LED conversions. I just want my car to function the way it is, so I've been trying to find HIDs that WILL run on this car. As far as I know, Diode dynamics are the only guys that figured out how to have the FRS run both bulbs :/

To be honest I don't see the point to use HID as highbeam as you cannot flash the highbeam. There is a warm up period for HID and it won't be bright if you just use it for the flash function. We sell DRL harness that can make the DRL work with HID but it's an additional $25 on top.

With the DRL harness the cost is more than the LED headlight. The 3600lm LED headlight is almost as bright as the HID and you can still flash people at night if needed. With full power HID during the day it's pretty blinding to oncoming traffic.

Ahh I see I see. I might really consider the HID/LED conversions as they do save a lot more money ...
