the only things i can see getting changed from concept to production would be the seats, because they don't look like they meet saftey standards and putting high beams and turn signals in the headlight. the rear diffuser looks like it would work in the real world but i could see toyota having that as an option to get some extra money outta us or at least the cf one

The entire interior won't stick. But I'd like to get those windowed pillars; something different...

Take out the Zippers, Seats, some of the fancy details on the dash and the interior is perfect for me.

I really don't understand how they can even market this as a 2+2. It's within 2 inches of an S2000, which is a two seater.(Yes, I know it has a longer hood) I think it looks like it sits on its wheels like a 2G DSM, and yet its almost 10 inches shorter. Its great that the whole 2+2 idea will lower insurance rates, but how much room will there even be back there?

I'm perfectly fine with the 2+2 layout though. Doesn't have to be a strict 2 seater. Infact, I prefer it 2+2. |

The 2+2 doesn't bother me. It never seemed to be a problem for the 911.

I can see headroom being alright in the supra and the 86 because of the rear window shapes, but was there any legroom to speak of?

Lotus Elise like car and approach for the FT-86 would be my absolute dream. But a dream it will remain as this car will need to have more creature comforts than an Elise in order to appeal to more and sell more units.

Wait-you want to see a FT-86 putting down (let's say after the aftermarket gets finished) maybe 300-350 HP go up against a GT-R putting down 800+HP (Hennessey has done it already)? You'd get creamed. Doesn't matter how nice the car looks, you've got to find some semblance of reality. This car's competitors are going to be the 370Z, the Genesis coupe, the G37, the M3, the Eclipse, the Mustang, the Camaro, and the Challenger-not a car coming stock at 4x its price. |

FYI, that 800hp looses much of its value after 400hp on a road like that. Because the guy you just tried to correct, was referring to the touge. Look a littttlleee bit more closely at his post. |

I'll cede that at Touge, HP is not necessarily the most important aspect. However, even there, the straightaways will greatly benefit the GT-R. Also, the much greater design effort into GTR drivetrain will benefit it-there's only so much effort you can put into say suspension on a car designed to be under 30 grand, especially compared to what they've done with the Nissan.
