Garage
I drive over to a right hand drive importer nearby many an evening to drool over what they have on the lot. Still happy I bought an FR-S as my summer car though. My WRX has turbo and all wheel drive plus a lot more tech than those older GTRs do. Plus I don't have to worry about my turbo blowing up.

Going through a drive thru is darn near impossible in a right drive BTW.

Here's what I drooled over this week:

1st gen WRX RA
WRX 555
Same era EVO
Mid 90's Legacy GT wagon and sedan B B spec, both with factory Bilsteins
R32's
R34's
S15 Sylvia
1st gen 70's GTR showroom condition
Honda Beat
Plus several other cool kei cars

I will post some pics soon but you can see many of them here:

www.rightdrive.ca

I'd probably buy and play with some JDM classics if I have the extra garage space and cash to burn.

So many times I was close to pulling the trigger on a rhd supra TT 6mt. I was splitting hairs on a mint black one grade 3.5 for $15k. But the fact that I would have to insure through facility and insurance companies are dropping rhd coverage by the day just turned me away. But mostly, rhd car in LHD country is all sorts of troubles- law enforcement and traffic.

I still do day dream about finding a clean lhd 94 Celica shell then buying a rhd 94 celica gt4 to use for a conversion. That'll cover my ass on the VIN tags, LHD, and insurance.

The N1 is the special one, the nismo is just some minor aero for cooling.

It is kinda funny how places that can't have one really want one while places that can view them like we do 90's corvettes. I am going to the Philippines for a vacation and a track day, my friend there has a civic and an R34. I instantly picked the R34 since I can't have one here and the few you see the owners are not going to let you drive. The overwhelming response from people in the Philippines including my friend was to use the civic and forget the R34. It is a really cool car but I think a lot of it is just the grass is always greener on the side of the fence that says stay the f@*k off my lawn.

Oh yeah I know but, not being able to have one would you take one of those or a civic?

Like my friend in the philippines when he saw I owned a 83 camaro "with a huge v8" he thought I was crazy to be selling it for $2,500. And said with a car that cool how could you ever get rid of it. I say the same thing about a lot of cool cars he has that I can't have. He is trying to get me to ship a 90's corvette to him despite after shipping and taxes it's going to be well over $15k because he can't find one there. The most hammered I have ever been still would not get me to pay $15k for used 90's corvette with over 150k miles on it.

Nope basic late 90's sticky tires and an ebay turbo kit. Stripped out the interior welded in a roll cage and one seat no dash just a tachometer. You very typical lemons racer here in the states.

Never understood the hype around these old skylines. If this was your favorite car growing up and it was your dream to have one, then it'd make sense. But it seems like more of a hipster thing for the majority of the people drooling over them.

For the amount of money you'd spend on this old ass car you can buy something more current, reliable, and just overall better.

On that note I've always loved the Evolution V and VI since I was a teenager. If I were given the chance to buy one, I probably wouldn't spend anything over 10k for it.
