Rear Wing and Dust Build Up

I have just got a 2017 BRZ and in Australia they don't come with the rear wing.

I have noticed a large amount of road/exhaust dust collects on the back of the car and I started wondering if the rear wing might improve the air flow around the back and reduce the dust build up?

It is quite noticeable on a white car and especially if you wipe your fingers across the rear bumper sill - only after a 1hr drive.

Have ppl with the rear wing noticed the dust also or could my theory be true?

I doubt it, the rear of the car is a low pressure area, and dirt will collect there. Happens to me with my BRZ, which had the OEM rear spoiler.

Not at all. It helps downforce, but that's about it. The rear area doesn't have enough flow, everything kicked up sticks, like dust, dirt, and burnt rubber.

Thx. Good to know. I quite like having no wing.

I didn't think the oem wing would do much for down force so guessed it might just be for air flow.

The previous spoiler, reduced the Cd a bit, which would generally mean no added downforce.

Not that you need any additional confirmation at this point, but as said by others, spoiler or not, the car gets very grimy out back as you drive. No real way around it. I actually went out to wash my car, and by the time I drove the two miles home there were little pebbles from the road stuck to the rear facing part of the trunk lid.

I had the OEM spoiler, then went to a TRD spoiler. On both the back end of the car gets plenty filthy.
