Does anyone happen to have definition files for the flexfuel maps in romraider? I have the flex fuel kit. My idol is all jacked up, I have told shiv about it a few times and gave him data logs but no updated maps were sent to me. I have asked him for the definition file for a D00C rom but no response. It seems like he has gone off the grid. It would be a waste of money for me just to disconnect the kit and go back to a stock map. My main problem is when I start the car off and give it gas the idol dips so low the car feels like its about to stall. Thats with all the accessories off like A/C, lights ect... When the A/C, OR lights are on the idol fluctuates so bad.

send me the rom, ill have a look I suspect its an A01G rom internally, but some of the tables are offset from stock A01G def and extra tables added.

you might want to log tune and make sure the LTFT is not 20% or something nd the AFR is arround 14.7 at idle. It might be that the flex kit is not hooked up properly.

Figured out what was wrong with the idle. Just email me the tune file you are currently running and I'll fix it

So is the kit and tunes still being tested? I see you can purchase the kit on Openflash's website, really considering picking it up.

Yes, we still offer free OTS maps for NA cars running our flex fuel kit This is assuming you don't have any unusual mods like 3" MAF pipe, non OEM intakes, etc,.

Shiv sent an update for my A01C FF Stage2 tune. The result is a more stable idle especially when the AC kicks in. The ECU is still learning but it is a nice improvement over the base FF tune I was using.

Are the OTS flex fuel maps editable like your normal maps?

yes they will be editable,

you will just need to corresponding definition file as the flex fuel coding moves a couple of the standard tables a few bytes and thaier a a few additional tables to control the flex fuel timing fueling and cranking pulse depending on E%

Is it OK to run the OTS flex fuel tune for a while (similar to Stage 2 uel)? Or is it just to use while you wait for an e-tune?

Is there any downside to disconnecting the stock evap sensor?
I saw some other kits provide the option to use the rear O2 sensor wire as well.

no
with the flex fuel tune the ecu is expecting a signal into the ecu from the flex fuel kit/sensor that tells ecu the current ethanol percent. dont run the flex tune unless yo have flex sensor kit installed and connected to ecu

the evap pressure sensor is part of the emissions control system so it will be disabled when you run a flex kit input to the evap . This system is not even fitted to out cars in Australia, so appears their would be no downside, other than you may have a "fail/not ready " indication on an emmissions test.

connecting to the rear 02 disables the rear o2 sensor and this is used by ecu for cruise fueling. this may result in slightly worse cruise fuel economy. It will also cause a fail/not ready indication on emissions teats.

the evap connection is generally prefered, although the rear 02 is slightly easier to connect to, hence rear 02 kits are generally a little cheaper as you dont need the ecu harness, but you can cut and splice wiring if you dont want to buy the ecu harness its not that hard.
