OFT - Mode file not found. Cannot create a tuning file.

Today, when reading my 2015 BRZ stock ROM with my new Open Flash Tablet (OFT), I received an alert with the following error message: "Mode file not found. Cannot create a tuning file." Otherwise, the OFT seemed to read the ROM correctly.

Is this error/alert message normal? Or, should I be concerned? My guess is that everything is fine and it simply means it didn't generate an editable file?

Correct oft has read your rom, its new so the internal database file could not generate tuned rom.

just download full 2.063 tunes from oft site unzip and load up the tune you require matching your calid.

see oft tips thread below if you have not already

download openflash manager off the website then download the 2.063 tune file, you will need to hook your oft up to your comp and let it update, just start openflash manager then plug your oft in then you can add the files on the tablet and flash them to your car, use the d00c bin file and no I do not think you will have LC or FFS yet.

but the problem is when i go looking for the files that match my CAL that ends in D00C ican only find a file that says ZA1J_D ROMS. there are other ones also but this is the only one with a D in it so i open it up and it has more folders like stage 1 -91oct which is the one i want and when i open it there are seven other file thing which just look like paper that says things like Stg 1 700D.bin and the others all say different things so i click on the first one to upload it and it says the selected file is not complient.

It's not complient because you're picking the wrong bin file.

Your car is using a 00C map. Why are you opening a 00D tune?

Using the openflash manage, in the upload section, find the folder containing the C tune files. You'll need the Stg1 tune file there. Start with 91 octane and try it for a couple of days before doing anything else.

All this information is available in better detail in Steve99's tips and tricks thread.

Was having the same issue, I guess its just the 2015 ECU Rom that causes it. Followed Steve99's post and the recommendations in this thread and got it running perfectly Thanks everyone.

Can you link this software you speak of? I went to the download page and the file manager leads to a broken link. I was awfully excited to get playing with this today.
