Has anyone gotten a Q300 and changed it for something else because it was too quiet?

Glad you got a Tomei, I've heard only good things about them.
It just comes down to how it sat on the hangers. Both exits of it sit at different angles. Just bothered me, plus with how light the tomei is in addition to it being a single exit sold me on it real quick

I am biased because of where I live.
In Los Angeles even a non-SS exhaust system will last about 10-20 years.

But it is true that when I lived in Chicago a cheap non-SS system would rust out in 2 years.

I feel like if these companies were serious they would have youtube videos or clips of the sound of their system. Just because it looks sorta like a Q300 doesn't mean it sounds anything like it. It could sound all raspy and horrible or just like stock as far as we know.

I've heard of "complaints" that the q300 is too quiet, but I think it depends what you're gonna do with your exhaust.

Are you ONLY going to do a catback? If so, probably go with something louder.

If doing full exhaust, the q300 might keep everything "in check" more or less...depends how much you wanna push it with sound.

But the q300 is still a desirable exhaust, so you if you buy it/have it, it'll sell used fairly easily.

Mine sounds extremely similar. No rasp at all.

I went from catless Tomei 60R to the Q300... I kinda want to change because it's TOO quiet now.

Honestly it sounds great from the outside, but I can't hear my car inside and I have a catless header and front pipe...

I was so set on going for the q300 but after reading so many reviews similar to this I am looking for another option. Currently have an openflash header and stock catback but I want something a bit louder in the cabin vs out.

That's where I'm coming from. I don't really care about how it sounds outside-- I want to hear the engine INSIDE the car (but not so loud that I have to crank the radio way up.)

That's why all these youtube clips with recordings behind the car are useless to me. (And the fact that there are no dB readings associated with them.)

Which system do you have exactly?

Take my word for it, it's so quiet inside that I put my rear seats down to hear my car without having the windows down.

You're paying how much just so it looks more prettier? I have the spec-d. Exhaust travels through it and into the atmosphere. No issues there. You're unhappy because it doesn't hang the way you want?

It can eat through any exhaust. I had an Apexi N1 dual on my 240sx and the seams on the mufflers rusted through pretty quickly.
