My nomination for most entertaining click-bait article ever

Presenting "The top 20 cars we would rather buy than the 2020 Corvette"

OK, I agree with about half of them, but it loses all credibility on #13:

Seriously, I couldn't make this up, although someone obviously could.

Also, a surprise #1 I'll leave to your reading, but I need someone to explain why the BRZ is #13 when they picked this as #1.

Woweeeee. I agree that I'd take the 86 over a Corvette, but the rest of the cars... How can they pin the 86 as top dog when ANYTHING is open? No e30/e36 M3? No NA Miata? I'd pick those over the Corvette.

They were testing the prototype for the BRZ refresh.

They've wasted their time. There are literally hundreds of cars I'd rather buy than the 2020 Corvette. (Or any Corvette made in the last 40 years for that matter)

I totally did!

Like an idiot I was expecting some bombshell. Half of those cars are truly desirable classics. The Toyota 2000 GT, Jaguar E-Type, Ferrari 250 GTO, Ford GT40, Lamborghini Miura and Countach....not even in the same realm. The excessive FRS/BRZ/86 honorable mentions with their "strong motors" is really odd. Probably someone's extra credit project. "Sales are down and all the special editions and TRD cars aren't cutting it-go make some clickbait".

First... I HATE those click-through things. If I mistakenly fall for one, I always close the window immediately. I made it through this one only out of respect for Dadhawk... and that respect has now diminished perceptively..

Second ... what sixth or seventh grade creative writing classes are assigned the task of writing the texts for these awful things? Seriously.. the copy is stilted, shows absolutely NO factual research, and would get a "C" at best if submitted by an average seventh grader... and that's being generous.

It has to be sarcasm thrown in to annoy everyone and get clicks. Not to mention the cars you cannot get even if you have all the cash to buy them. Totally silly.
