If you can wipe the rust off, it's from the socket that was used.

If it doesn't wipe off, you may have a counterfeit set.

I highly doubt a reputable shop like Evasive is going to stock fake Rays gear and get skewered by a community, especially when they are one of California's largest aftermarket shops/storefronts.

If you actually go to page 161 in the Rays catalog (https://www.rayswheels.co.jp/DB/cata.../2019F_all.pdf), you'll find that they sell more lug nuts of the steel variety than aluminum.
