Has there been any issues of there welds not holding up. I should've done more research but I assumed a real company like HKS would be a little better. Could've got a Chinese knockoff for half price for the same welds

As a matter of fact, yes, the first batch of the Hi Power Spec L (the dual cannon catback) had issues with the welds near the resonator section breaking/cracking and needing to be repaired.

I believe the issue was corrected with future revisions/releases.

Started off this morning removing and weighting the stock parts

Front pipe: 12.1lbs

Midpipe: 12.5lbs

Axleback : 26.75lbs

So Final weight Tally
HKS vs Stock Frontpipe: 8.25 vs 12.1
Midpipe: 13.25 vs 12.75
axleback: 24.75 vs 26.75

Total loss with HKS setup: 46.25 vs 51.6 = -5.35lbs

Spent some time with a harborfrieght die grinder to grind down the inside of the welds smooth

Easy Job used my tar stuff again on the gaskets and bolted everything on. Just match the direction of the flanges exact and everything fit perfect first time! Fitment gets A+

Cat Strikes again photobombing me

Nice tips fill the hole

Sound: again I wish I could set something up for clips that will come later
Its very Jeckly/Hyde in a good way. Obviously cold start is loud. While cruising the exhaust is very quiet close to stock. Put you foot into and WHAM the sound volume jump up quickly. Not too low bassy, no drone, more on the higher pitched scale but without the rasp. So flooring its pretty loud enough for me but no annoying sounds just a straight wail.

A few people asked for an exhaust clip when I posted pics of the HKS Legamax Quad-tip cat-back a few weeks ago. Finally got around to doing it. Video shows start up, then a pause at every 1k RPM. Finishes off with a few blips from idle to redline.

Sorry bout the wind noise, makes it hard to even hear the exhaust under 3k RPM.

No other exhaust mods on my car.

The Legamax Sports (quad-tip) becomes EXTREMELY loud if you don't have any catalytic converters. I started off originally with just the Legamax (with the secondary cat deleted) and it sounded much better than the factory exhaust. Far more sporty and sweet to the ears. I decided to get an even-length catless header (MXP 4 to 1) and it completely changed the way the exhaust sounds.

As you can see in the video, it is extremely loud and raspy (which, luckily, I like). On the highway at cruising speeds it's quite reasonable. No droning whatsoever.

Here's a quick highway pull video. I'll post another video later taken from the side of the road.

Jesus that is louder than I wouldve expected from this cat-back.

Bit too loud and high pitched for me though. I'll probably end up keeping at least one cat when I finally upgrade.

Probably only loud because he is accelerating hard. Mine (legamax premium) is quiet while cruising but loud when accelerating hard

Yeah my Legamax premium came out higher pitched than I thought. Of course I have no cats just resonators taking place of them. Was thinking of having a high flow cat added in between the 2 resonators of the hks front pipe.

Or could go outside the box and have a cherry bomb welded in somewhere. That would give it a deep tone. But the louvers inside cause turbulence. My setup is 60mm piping all the way front to back for high velocity and no turbulence. ARRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHH! Looks like we cant have our cake with these cars
