You do know that GTS are dropping value very fast. A white one on carsales with 18 kms got sold for 37k. A few on carsales are selling for 36k negotiable!

The GTS will drop in value faster than the GT.

The market has changed...

Way to try and undermine his sale thread bro.... if you arent helping him sell his car then dont post. Its a pretty fair price from what ive seen with people still trying to gouge for more than RRP.

The fact remains that whilst demand outstrips supply some people would pay silly money.

free bump for seller not trying to rip people off.

Im not undermining his friend's sale. Im trying to make the sale price more realistic. People nowadays know that the supply is matching demand, so i see people on carsales asking for 39k with like TRD mods and a few thousand kms and stuff and its still on sale for a month. They drop to 37k, it then sells. It seems people are not silly anymore...

Some people sell the car because they find out how underpowered they are. And i tell them "why didn't you buy like a s2000 or WRX". And they say "the car is so hyped up and looks good". LOL Headers, intake, tune, exhaust, grippy tires, call it a day. You will regret EVEN thinking of selling the car in the first place!

Thanks for the feedback folks. I am happy to meet the market. I had a quick browse on car sales and not able to find a white gts for less than 40k so I thought my price was fair at 38 k

Happy to discuss offers with potential buyers.

..... are you actually for real right now its exactly what you're doing.

You have no interest in buying it, yet you're trying to erode the price of the car because in YOUR opinion he shouldnt sell it..

You mention that the GTS will devalue quicker than the GT.. that's due to public perception. You're actually helping with the devaluation of your own car right now!!!

At the end of the day this guy paid a price for his car which will be somewhere in the vicinity of 40K, why shouldnt he try to recoup as much of that cost as possible.

So now your confusing me...

First you say "helping out a friend", now you say "my price". What is it, is the car yours or your "friend"?

I believe you are right that he deserves every right to get as much of the initial price he paid for the car. But i seriously believe he or whoever owns the car shouldnt sell the car. I have two friends who owned a 86 and a BRZ, one of them is on sale right now on carsales.

http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...-1062978/?Cr=8

My friend who sold his 86 because he felt it was underpowered and impractical and later on bought a 370gt. Mind = blown! How is that anymore practical than a 86? And then he recently drove in my car, that has a few bolt ons, and it instantly regretted selling the 86.

If the seller genuinely wants to sell because of personal circumstances such as lost job, financial problems. Then YES! Sell it, don't look back and i wish you sell it for 38k. But if its because you don't like the car because its underpowered or because of the torque dip or whatever, think again please. Too many people make the mistake of selling it for that reason.
