Back up light

Does anyone know if the back up light wire is a plug in or is it hard wired?. If it does have a plug on it where is the plug it plugs into?. Does that make sense?..

the section by the light is plug-in, but the section in the car is definitely hardwired.

It's hard-wired to the transmission.

Wow, I thought I remembered it properly until I looked it up. It's one long cord that has a bulkhead grommet. Plugs into the main harness inside the trunk under the latch.

Yep, but its hardwired from that internal trunk connector.

@Cobaltbloo I've got one of those harnesses gathering dust in my spares bin, if you need it. All I'd ask for would be shipping cost.

Also, if you were ever considering changing the reverse light, many lights come with the harness, so it might be worthwhile to just update to a different style while you're tinkering with it.
