Wyatt's 2015 Subaru BRZ Series.Blue.
[ll•]==(Series.Blue)==[•ll]
Hey Guys my names Wyatt. Been searching through these forums for a while now and just joined. Been apart of forums for a very long time with my other two vehicles. I just recently purchased a 2015 Subaru BRZ Series.Blue, been wanting one for years but haven't been able to go at it financially until now. I got her used with a little over 9,000 miles from Indiana. With me living in Iowa I had to transport it and I couldn't really do it myself so the dealership hired a company do to so.. Which I have a great story about.. After purchase I was told it would take a few days for them to pick it up, and about 5-8 days after that to get it to my door. Well.. It took exactly two weeks for them to pick it up. After me and the dealership calling them non stop they finally found a carrier. Story was they had assigned a carrier and the carrier had no idea.. Anyways, after that two weeks I was finally told it would arrive that night. It didn't.. Then the next day I was told around 10-11 o'clock am. Still wasn't there.. Then I was told 3-5 hours.. Then I was told 4:30-5.. THEN around 3:30-4 o'clock I got a call that the transport had a flat tire an hour outside my town! I waited until 6 to find out if he would be up and running again just to find out he will be stuck there overnight. Great. So he offered to have me pick it up where he was, yeah I was going to do that! So anyways after finally finding someone who would drive me an hour away I finally received it! Here's the transports flat tire. Was the car in perfect condition when I got it? No.. The front lip was destroyed from transport.. What did he say? "It was like that when I picked it up" of course.. So I sent in a claims request for the damage and have been ignored by the claims department ever since.. I'll get transfered to claims and I'd get a voice mail. So I'd leave a message and never get a call back.. A local body shop quoted me over $1800 in damage. (Front lip destroyed, chip in bumper, and scratch on fender when the corner markers popped out.) Anyways.. I absolutely love the car! The twins are beautiful machines. I'm very pleased with the vehicle. I'm also very pleased with the dealership I bought it from. Very easy to work with and very nice. No pressure at all. We will see if it stays that was if the transport company refuses to pay for the damage. Anyways she came with a few modifications from the previous owner: Perrin Cat back System. Perrin Front Strut Brace. Multiple (almost too much) little JDM Fasteners under the hood. Blue LED Lighting throughout the car. Smoked Corner Markers. Center Console Lid. K&N Air Filter. I also own a 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse and a 1997 Nissan 240sx. The 240sx is being worked on right now. (Engine Rebuild and TURBO) Here's the front lip. Last edited by Wyatt2617; 06-07-2017 at 10:32 PM. |

So whatever happened with the body damage? Did you get it fixed? Did you have to file a claim against the transport company?

Believe it or not I'm still fighting it.. The transport driver didn't have anyone sign the bill or lading at the dealership when he picked it up. So the dealership couldn't say, 'hey that wasn't there' I'm not stupid, I know the transport driver biffed the front end loading it and they're trying to get away with it.. ARRRG!

A little upgrade today! Went over to FT-86SpeedFactory and checked out their place. Also bought some Black Housing Tail Lights and a Diod Dynamics Smart Tap Flasher Relay.
Also got her all shiny. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk |

I can't upload the video of the smart tap relay, but its pretty cool. Ive always liked the 'tap to turn' on newer cars, so I wanted it for mine as well! The FT-86SpeedFactory guys are all great people and a great place!

To sum it up, transport company refused to pay, dealership was not willing to pay, almost went to small claims! Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk Last edited by Wyatt2617; 06-06-2017 at 08:26 PM. |

Well, let's just say the dealership and I settled with an undisclosed amount. Ended up being in my favor!
I will most likely be deleting many of my comments in the recent posts about the issue. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk |

I pretty much had the same trouble as you when I had my STI transported. My trouble was with the dealership itself, however. The check engine light had turned out to be $2000 worth of parts and labor to get fixed. At some point, someone broke my bumper too. They would never return my calls and they started phone dodging me. Took 2 months to even get the car, after I paid for it. It was such a headache. I've been pondering if I should call a lawyer as-well. I will never have a car transported again by a 3rd party.
