I whipped up some logos real quick of the first thing that came to my mind ...actually looks pretty cool:

Someone should put that into production because I would buy it. Especially if the subaru emblem stayed its blue color and you could change the toyota badge colors to contrast with the blue.

Sorry not my photoshop!! I found that on Google Image!! But your idea sounds great. If I had any photoshop skills I would try it.
