Ahhhh, I reminisce of a time when everyone told me 270whp from an NA SR20 wasn't possible, or 300whp from a K20... It takes time, and the right combination of parts and solutions. Certainly even 240whp is going to require going inside the engine to a large extent with head-work etc. Can't wait to see in a few years.

Just found this thread;

I'm also n NA warrior. Making ~217whp and ~172 wtrq NA on E85. Roughly 206 / 165 on 93. This was on a Dyno Dynamics.

PM me if details are wanted/needed. The TLDR of it is full exhaust and tune from @ptuning.

Yes, PTuning 4-1 header, PTuning Flex Fuel kit and PTuning dyno tune. Few other bolt ons here and there; but those are the only ones that matter for the dyno number.

Nice! How's the tq? I have full bolt ons with ace 4-2-1, and I got 183rwhp , on a dynojet. Was hoping for a bit more honestly lol

I am highly skeptical of your claimed whp numbers, especially on a dyno dynamics. Perhaps it was in "shootout" mode to mimic a dynojet? It's been awhile since I was on a dyno, and I wasn't on e85 back then either, but 217whp is about the highest NA number I've seen so far.

Being skeptical is fine.

@ptuning or @Freddy@PTUNING can chime in if needed. No trickery here. Lots of dyno time, and knowledge put into the tune.

The fact that the new 86/BRZ has a 4.3 FD, an N/A setup is even more appealing than before. My old FRS had Tomei EL headers, Grimmspeed intake, Nameless axleback, and an OFT Stage 2 91oct tune. I'd say the car made something like 180whp, and it felt really good.

I can only imagine how much better the car would feel with the shorter final drive, an extra 20-30whp with better tuning a fuel, and a higher rev limiter. I'm sure as people become more familiar with the platform, people will work out solutions to unlock more potential.

Quality N/A tuning just costs more than forced induction. Pulling big power out of these engines while staying N/A is just going to cost a good amount. Gotta pay to play.

We have hit 207whp on pump gas. Don't know why it's so hard to believe 216whp on E85. Good header and good tune is key.

I was told in Melbourne by a respectable tuner that U.S. dynos are 15-20% more exaggerated than ours. He's been in the industry for two decades too

To be fair, I haven't been on a dyno with my latest flex fuel tune. With OFT custom tune and an ACE 350 header I was at 180whp on Dyno Dynamics. I'm now running Delicious Tuning's OTS ACE and FF tune but hasn't been 'fine tuned' or anything.

We have a Dyno Dynamics. It is an Australian dyno, if that matters.
