So I've been driving the car about 3 days now.

Day 1: some kid said he liked it, and some cashier lady wanted to know what it was.
Day 2: nothing.
Day 3: got a friendly rev from an Integra.

Had the car for roughly a month now. Couple of occasions other then "Hey nice car" has caught my eye.

#1 Guy at Taco Bell was taking pictures of my car
#2 Dude driving a Viper rear ended someone else breaking his neck looking at my car.
#3 Fiat 500 revving at me
#4 State Patrol officer pulled me over to talk to me about my car.

Can you go into more detail regarding #4? I'm interested.

Hah no prob.

I was driving through this town called Puyallup (Smaller, very tightknit community, including the cops) and I pulled out behind me after a green light. I knew I wasn't speeding because I just launched. So I pulled over, and he asked me if I went to school around here (I'm a young looking guy), told him I graduated from a local high school. He asked me where I was headed, told him I was headed up to the Wal-mart nearby. He then told me I had a nice car, asked me how it drives, how much I got it for, and some other broad questions. I asked him what I did wrong and he said nothing he was just bored and wanted to learn more about the twin! I was worried because I already got a couple of tickets under my belt He told me to have a nice day and I drove off. I was never a big fan of police officers but this guy was definitely part of a cooler group

Too bad the Maserati in person looks 100x more aggressive. Lower, wider, and all the lines are much more aggressive.

I had an oncoming silver Accord coupe who drove pass the yellow lane because he was looking at me BRZ.

I also noticed that people CANNOT see our cars when they make lane changes on the highway. Happens way too often in my BRZ but never in my Legacy.

I've had a few, the one that stood out the most was when a car of 4 people sped up to check it out on the side and all of them broke their neck as they passed, including the driver.. It was kinda funny, my buddy who was in the car with me nodded and thought it was very funny how all their heads were in sync.

I also had some guy speed up because I passed him, his passenger rolled his window down and put his hand out and did some sort of finger pointing to the front. No idea if he was upset that I passed him or he wanted to know something, maybe I passed him too fast but he was swerving and i felt unsafe passing him so I tried to pass as fast as I could.

My FR-S consistently get stares everywhere we go (kinda cool but very scary when they're not paying attention to the road). It's cool to receive compliments and answer questions about it but in the back of my head I'm worried there may be a cretin that's going to vandalize it while we're away. Even the way some people here freak out about the 10 series and hate the badges makes me paranoid.

Yesterday, I had a passenger in the car that pulled up next to me ask me to wind down my window to compliment my car. He asked if the engine was a V6 or a V8. I told him that it was a boxer engine and he gave me a blank look. So then I spent the next 2 minutes at this stop light trying to explain to him the whole concept behind a horizontally opposed engine...

I used to explain to people it was like the old VW engine.

Since they weren't impressed, I've changed the analogy to ..... it's sorta like a Porsche engine....

Yep, Billy Bob don't get out much ....

The folks in these parts don't hardly know what a Scion is, let alone an FR-S.

Bubba still thinks "Scion" is a car belonging to a person who was born into a rich, famous, or important family.

A FR-S is the experimental version of the scion's car.

So, when I drive around town, with my personalized plate that says "HUMFRZ", they think my name is humfrz and I'm rich and important and drive an experimental vehicle.....

Ya'll stop in and say "Hi" when you pass through ....

I explain its like an airplane engine, since most modern small reciprocating aircraft engines are boxers. Also, Subaru engines are the engine of choice for most experimental aircraft auto conversions.
