I should clarify that mine are going on Saturday, followed immediately by a chance of snow on Sunday. I have good timing, apparently.

Honestly. I put them on about two weeks ago. This was because I needed to get them balanced and install at the tire dealers. Normally I like to install them myself as it avoids to rush and you can keep the summers on it as long as possible

Pirelli SottoZero 3s. Good balance between dry handling and snow traction. Suits my spirited driving style. Don't get that much snow and ice in Toronto to need really aggressive winter tires. Ran 3 winters on Toyo Observe G02s that were on their last legs, never got stuck or skidded out. This car is super easy to handle in slippery conditions. In fact, you might argue that it was designed for tail-out action.

Mine went on the car, the first of November, the truck the week after. I run Michelin X-ice on both. Until I got the car I generally didn't spend much on winter tires, when we bought the FR-S, I had no intention of going cheap on winter tires(her daily driver, first RWD in 20 years) I ordered a set of R.Thibert direct fit 16" alloys & X-Ice. Last winter I had to go help her shovel the car out of her parking lot, 3' drift behind her car, with a 10" in the lot. I got my truck stuck trying to get where she was parked, left it and helped shovel out the car, she backed out of the spot and drove past my truck without issue. I put the X-Ice on the truck year.

Why? Are people not allowed to drive aggressively on the streets? Is there a law governing how fast you can take a corner on the streets? What's safe is defined by operating conditions, vehicle performance parameters and driver skill level. Don't talk shit when you don't know anything about who you're talking about.

Actually there are laws about how fast you can take corners.

Also, depending on your definition of "aggressive", you can most certainly get fined depending on what you're doing.

I think DR 86 probably meant "spirited" driving, as "aggressive" driving will definitely get you in trouble with the cops.

As I recall, Ontario and Canada in general has some pretty stiff fines and punishments for whatever the cops define as "stunting."
