The Best Drop in Air Filter?

Hello everyone, I am really confused on which air filter to buy. There are so many out there (same problem I had with exhaust lol). Perrin, K&N, TRD, Zeta, Apexi, HKS, Afe, AVO. From your long run experience which one is the best? Thanks!

Negatives about some:
-Do not filter small particles
- Clogging the Mass Airflow Sensor

Go with Perrin, you just can't go wrong.

I use the aFe oiled filter. No problems whatsoever. Oiled filters are supposed to let a little more air flow in. My butt dyno likes the filter.

I have the Cosworth right now and really like it, no oil but it's not a lifetime filter or anything. I have the Perrin that will be in tomorrow to compare it to.

Looking at what's available and taking into account my total dislike of cleaning/oiling filters, I'm liking the AFe dry.

I noticed a little, similar to the Perrin crank pulley as far as how much you can actually feel it.

Perrin will have a new intake released before Christmas which uses a much different filter. You may want to check out the thread. Unless there's some serious gains I don't think I'll buy it as I *believe* the bumper needs to be removed to install and then subsequently clean it periodically.

It's not, but for a while there I was doing filters on 6 different vehicles. Just tired of it.

The AFe dry appears to be nearly as efficient and easier labor. Blow it out with a compressor or rinse it with water. No oiling necessary.

When we raced offroad, oiled filters were a complete PITA. Stopped using them and just bought a case of OEM replacements. You can bang out a clogged dry filter in the middle of the desert much easier then an oiled filter.

Well I have Borla exhaust and I am hoping for a deeper sound with drop in. I would say that I did noticed that so claimed +4-6 wHP/TQ @ 4700rpm but it might just be me. Before I didn't really pay much attention to rpm there. The needle jumps up faster in around that spot.
