That P&L header: were you tuned when you ran it? Any CEL issues? Concerned about passing emissions in MA which is basically as strict as it is in CA...

If you're worried about strict emissions compliance, then anything other than a stock header will be a violation. I have the catted P&L and it's great - I'm running tuned with an OFT, no CELs. That said - if anyone did a visual test it would fail (they don't in CT, they just do an OBD here).

Yeah I don't think they do a visual in MA, either. Or if they do it's a cursory check at best "yep, has cats, next!"

How's the volume level with it? I'm running a Perrin catted front pipe and resonated catback and I'm hoping it wouldn't get too much louder than it is now

It does get a little louder compared to the stock header but nothing crazy - it's probably one of the quieter header options out there having a cat and longer piping. Your setup might be slightly louder than mine, I run a Greddy SP Elite axle back, this header, and the in-between is stock. Very civil. Here's how it sounds, warm start:

I personally love this header - a good bump in power and has a nice exotic-like tone when you get north of 4k.
