I am definitely interested in seeing this setup! What do you think of the kit so far?

Thanks all! Just finished the install today and wow, I have to say, the car completely woke up. Cliche, but this is the way it should'e come from the factory. Torque all around, and not to mention an awesome blower sound. I almost feel the car runs smoother at idle, and its not much louder than it was before (I only have the Greddy SP Elite).

I'll be driving it a bit more tomorrow, but overall the kit is awesome. The instructions were very well written, and the install was straightforward. I had some issues getting the intercooler piping to sit correctly so that the bumper could be fitted, and ran into some pinching issues of the oil cooler lines. It took me about a day to do the whole install.

Not very interesting, but here is the first start up:

Did you also purchase the JR oil cooler too or is that a different one ?

Great job on the installed. Looks good.

Thanks! I did purchase the JR oil cooler; replaced the Perrin kit because of the seamless fit of the JR cooler. You have to do a bit of brainstorming when installing the oil cooler with the SC kit, as the oil cooler instructions treat it as if the SC was installed first.

About 7k miles on the car, no real suspension mods. I track the car quite a bit, and will begin club racing it next year. I will be tweaking the alignment soon to be more track friendly. Stock suspension and brakes (Project Mu pads) are VERY good on this car, and can handle the 240-250 whp it now has. If I push past 300 whp, I'll probably begin considering upgrades. Don't get me wrong, I'm a firm believer in suspension first over power, but in this case, it wasn't enough hp to get me worried lol.

I agree with you that the stock suspension is VERY good (Michelin Pilot Sport tires) however, I don't like the stock ride height. I just got KW V3's and SC would be the next thing. It seems like the reviews/experiences with this SC has been positive so far.

Jibai (great name btw, I get it... )

I forgot to mention that my track tires are wider RPF-1's w/ Rivals, so there is additional grip there! The stock ride height is ugly haha, I agree. Please let me know if I can help your SC decision in any way. The reason I picked this kit was because it seems to be the most widely track tested and abused kit. Also, being CARB legal helps.

Hope you do come to the June 8th meet. Would like to check out the JR SC. Thinking of going with this supercharger.

Congrats on the install / upgrade. Let me know if you are ever near the south bay. I am hoping to ride in a JR SC car sometime soon before I order one for myself...

Yes, I feel that this CARB thing is going to help me avoid the PITA later cuz I'd rather do "one and done" instead of scrambling to find a place that will pass it.

PS. You should post pics of your ride btw.
