Damn, so many concerns about messing up the car. It's just a car! Use it!
I put in the Rhino Rack ditch mount setup and I love it. I have the square steel bars, and I use it for everything. The car is low, so it's easier to load than a full size wagon or SUV. It's amazing and really makes this car easy to live with. It can return to the stock look if you buy new gutter strips.

Does anyone know what the roof weight rating is? Or how much weight these racks camn support?

I just bought a Seasucker kit with Monkeybars to carry my gravel bike, among other things. In what places did you put the suction cups? (Because I read quite disturbing reports of dents on the roof). Moreover, I am also thinking of buying a roof box for weekend family trips (with my wife and 21-month-old daughter). I was thinking of a small roof box for light stuff, any preferences?

I mount mine as close to the windshield as I can. The rear ends up on the back glass.

PS also thinkig of putting a roof box on top. Only problem I see are the Monkey bars that are about 3cm thick and most roof boxes are made for 6cm thick bars (u-shape of 6cm to attach them). Any advice on roof boxes?
