Finished polishing mine this past weekend after giving them a week to finish hardening.
This pic is prior to the polish. Color came out much better than expected. Sent from a Motorola DynaTAC 8000X |

Do you guys get these wrapped or painted? I want to do this to my car, but I don't want it to be permanent in case I sell it later or something. Is there any disadvantage to getting it wrapped?

Painted lights are more glossy because usually they are wet sanded and clear coated like what Romie here does. But yes they are more permanent. Done well though they are imho far better looking. Vinyl wraps are generally less glossy and appear more dull. It's harder to wrap a light due to its shape so most people won't have the skill to do it without damaging, stretching or scratching the wrap. You can have a pro do it but then it's more money obviously and you're in the same cost territory as painting. They also usually require more than one piece to wrap the housing, so it will be easier to tell on a close inspection, that it is wrapped. But as you said it's less permanent so it can be removed if you want to go back. But for what it's worth I see people selling stock taillight sets for $150-200 these days. So you could have a 2nd set when you feel like switching back too.
