Yes and no. Our Billet battery tray and WMI tray are modular in design and some of the parts are interchangeable. This mean that you can unbolt the billet tray/tie-down and transfer it onto our WMI tray.

If you purchase our billet battery tray and decide you want to use our WMI kit in the future, you will be able to use the same battery tray/tie down and bolt it directly onto our WMI tray. Our WMI tray comes with and without the billet battery tray for customers who already purchase our battery tray. This way, you can upgrade later to the WMI/Mini battery setup without having to ditch your existing PTUNING battery tray

I hope that makes sense.

I'm actually looking to use it with a Ballistic EVO2 16-cell battery. It's actually smaller than the Shorai you listed so I'm curious if it will work.

4.8" (L) x 3.4" (W) x 5.8" (H) are the dimensions on the battery. Here is a pic of one mounted with the stock tray. I also have the foam insert for the battery to sit in which makes it a little taller, and it actually fits the stock battery tray pretty well, but it can be trimmed to fit if need be. I am a sucker for the bling.

We were looking at this battery as well for a customer when we were designing our tray. The Ballistic Evo2 16Cell (pictured you included) is a square battery and will not work. However, the dimension you listed is actually for the Ballistic Evo2 16Cell HD which is the same capacity battery but in a different dimension and will fit our tray but the only concern is that the "balance charging" plug on the ballistic is located between the two terminals where our battery tie-down resides. If ballistic includes the foam insert to cover the charging plug to make it a flat surface, then yes we can easily configure our battery tray to secure the Ballistic Evo2 16Cell HD battery. Let me know if this insert exist and we can draw up the evo2 16HD battery in CAD and verify the fitment and show you how it would mount on our tray.

Ahh looks like I actually ordered the square one and not the HD since the HD is a little heavier.

That's the discussion we were just having. If you have the EVO2 HD (which stands for Harley Davidson) it will work but not the regular EVO2 which is a square battery.

We can only accommodate the Evo2 16CellHD 4.8" (L) x 3.4" (W) x 5.8" (H) and not the non-HD model. But we still need to verify that the ballistic battery comes with some sort of foam cushion to cover the "balance charging" port on top so that our tie-down can be used to secure the battery properly. Does any one have the Evo2 16Cell HD battery and does it come with a foam cover that can be used between the terminal for a tie-down.

LOL. you too. Time for swap. The evo2 HD casing size is more in line with most of the mini AGM batteries out there. the evo2 16 cell "Square" casing is just odd. There's only a 10 gram diff between the HD and non HD which is about the weight of 2 quarter--which is negligible.

We still need access to the evo2 16cellHD battery to confirm fitment of the tie-down due to the "balance charger" port. If anyone want to volunteer their battery, please pm me.

I would like to get this installed ASAP, how long before you get a working mount after you receive a battery?

What I can do is exchange my battery for the 16 cell Evo2 HD and have it shipped to you guys directly, then you can ship the battery and tray to me once you're done with it.
