Yeah, as it got colder I felt like an absolute asshat starting my car in the morning with my nameless headerback (5in, offset, 2.5in pipe) and uel headers. It was so loud. With the perrin setup it's much better, sounds more like my sti with a mild exhaust. My car feels much faster now Im not so self conscious about my car being so loud.

The nameless 5in offset setup was perfect before the header. Don't bother with the 4in setup unless you want it LOUD.

Yeah 2.5" pipe 5" muffler system here, it is plenty loud I would not want louder.

I had RevWorks UEL Header with stock catback before my Nameless 5" arrived and when I installed the Nameless + UEL it was a super loud combo, attracted everyone's attention, LEO and come-race-me-bros...

I ended up selling the UEL header and keeping the Nameless 5", sounds perfect as is, just miss the torque dip flattening of the UEL.

jesus that is intense.. I have the 5" mufflers w/ OP/Catback and resonator. I would love to hear this build with headers. I hope to purchase a header in the near future but need to do my research first. Wouldn't want it to be to loud as its my DD

Sounds about what I'm looking for. Attention without attention. 2.5" w/5" is what I'm leaning towards.

My system has two resonators in it too, and the downpipe is catted. 2.5" might be much quieter.

Good thread!

I'm trying to decide between 4" or 5" Nameless axleback. I'm not going to upgrade any of the other pipes. Any advice? Thanks!

Oh, my old ears like my nameless axle back with the 2.5" piping and 5" mufflers.

I wouldn't want it any louder.

Just a short one at a cold start up. Which is about as loud as it gets, unless it's at WOT.

You can hear it somewhat within the cabin when the car is under acceleration, but it mellows out a speed.

I like to describe the exhaust note as saying "I'm here" .... but it doesn't shout "LOOK AT ME!"

Sounds very nice. Do you feel that it was a good investment at $600? Does it sound nice/different/loud enough to warrant the price?

I hear the build quality is worth the price alone.

Well, in a nut shell .... yes.

I really didn't like to replace a perfectly good muffler, but it was "too good".

On my last car (Miata) I only had to pay $350 for a quality, after market muffler.

Yes, I will say that it was $600 well spent. It makes me feel younger, when I hear it.......and at my age, that is priceless ....

Glad it makes you feel good!

Another question: Have you noticed any aerodynamic issues after removing the stock muffler? I had heard that the shape of the muffler was part of the design of the underbody aero. Does it feel like you're dragging a big parachute behind you now or that there is any more lift in the rear end at speed?

Well, I haven't noticed any difference. However, maybe the small HP increase (if that's even real), overcomes any underbody drag.

As far as "lift", I wouldn't notice. You see, I got this rear tail thing/spoiler, that the salesman told me would keep the rear end planted up to 195 MPH ....

Maybe aero drag/tail lifting may come into play at speeds over 130 mph ....

Oh, just "do it", Evil Jesus, life is too short to drive a sports car that doesn't sound like a sports car....
