The goal was to come up with a unique, completely unlike oem, design that was more efficient throughout the rev range. Truthfully, we don't know much about how this will perform yet besides cylinder distribution when all valves are open (an unrealistic event but it helped us shape the plenums for how air naturally wants to enter). From previous knowledge it points to be a top end, FI geared, intake manifold. However, also from previous knowledge, a more efficient design can improve VE in areas the runners/intake manifold wouldn't typically be thought to. We make no claims until the test unit gets on the car and is thoroughly tested .

So I can check back in 15 minutes to see the results?

On a more serious note (b#) could you give a best case guestimate, based on experience, what might be the increase in power over a rev range for a normally aspirated engine? I appreciate this is not set in stone but I would like to know if I should keep watching this thread or give it up because I wish to remain n/a. 5 hp increase over 3k-4k rpm not worthwhile. 12 hp over 5k-7.6k rpm would be good.

It would be extremely naive of us to put numbers out. It will likely increase hp up top more so then in the mid-range based off runner length. Again, if the system proves to be more efficient then the OEM system, mid-range could gain horsepower as well.

What's the volume of the plenums? They look small but I'm looks ng at this on a phone.

What kind if time line are you aiming for?

Approximately 2 liters.

Prototype strapped to car and dynoed by end of March.

Per side, not including the tubing.

I wouldn't say cranking them out but we are moving in a forward direction with quite a few projects.

We have a handful of other projects we are working on getting prototyped/finalized. They will remain a mystery until we (FT86SpeedFactory and ourselves) feel they can be released .

So with FI in mind, specifically supercharged, in theory, will something like this allow the engine to keep making power past 7000 rpm. Stock seems to die off and it seems no matter how much air you try to shove in there, it still dies off toward redline.

Without testing it's impossible to tell. The choke point could be the intake manifold or the head, or both.

I was about to ask (I think this has already been answered) since both intake runners seem to feed two cylinders at once, wouldn't the piston firing order cause a difference in pressure in the manifold? or is that what the intermediate hose is for?
