Won’t go into gears sometimes

So I got my clutch replace around August this last year and the clutch is a “ACT Heavy Duty Performance Clutch Kit” and I already broke the clutch in so it had more than 3k miles on it. I was maybe thinking of replacing the trans fluid or diff fluid even tho I had those fluids replaced when I got my clutch installed. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? My car is a 2013 FRS. Thanks.

What kit?

I had nothing but problems with my ACT. Forged fork and pivot got rid of 70% of the problems. Went back to stock flywheel with Southbend stage 2.

Nothing to do with fluids.

No, I haven't had this problem.

But, if I did, the first thing I would do is to bleed the clutch system.

If that didn't fix it, I'd try adjusting the clutch.

Had the same problem with my SB7-HDSS on my '13 FR-S. Was alright at first, but eventually I got locked out of all gears. Bled the system, replaced the slave -- nothing helped. I think ACT have some major QC issues.

Never was able to solve the issue.

Is this more so when the car is cold?
Does it shift okay with double shuffling (a small blip of throttle in neutral between gear changes)?

The more I see ACT clutches and issues along with it, makes me remember back in the 2010's when ACT clutches where avoided like the plague in the MR2 world. Seems like they are cutting corners again.

As for getting new forks and pivots, unless it's bent or beat to hell yeah you'll need it. Lucky it's not that expensive. But, if I was in your shoes I'll be looking at a new clutch.

@jordanaintshittt, I had a Verus forged fork and pivot installed when I did my ACT clutch, but the problem still eventually developed and got worse with time -- made the car unenjoyable to drive.

The FR-S is now at some recycling center.
