Truth be told, it took me a long time to find the "right" sound, and even still I'm not entirely satisfied. Luckily I have tended to buy some nicer exhausts which hold their value extremely well.

I also just really like turning wrenches, so it's nice to be changing stuff out and working on the car.

Yep, I hear ya.

The only way that my FR-S could give me "my perfect sound" would be to install a 1956 Ford OHV V-8 and run the dual exhausts back through glass packed mufflers .....

Yessir, we too had an "exhaust rumble" back in the day ..........

Wrenching is good. I have a bunch of them ..... somewhere .......

I think what I really need to do is remove the header. So many exhausts have their sound tuned for the stock header. Going to give that a go this weekend and see if it's any better.

I bought mine Nov 2012 with 5 miles. Yesterday... 25K. I used to work 3 miles from home. Now, I work 37 miles. Poor car... It's getting so old. So, I ordered mine a new present. The GCS paddle extensions. It's been a great car. Knock on wood. Not one cricket or any other issue.
