I will replace mine because the pipe is not fitting correctly in the stock intake, I notice it was almost out the other day and kinda fix it. Also I kinda destroyed the Perrin filter trying to get it in place -__-
I want the AVO intake but I'm not sure if it will fit with the Robispec sandwich plate.

The perrin intake is made of some foam type material, why not just replace it with a more durable k&n intake?

I could but then I will still have problems with the pipe and stock intake not getting align as it should be.

I will wait until i decide what to do, I don't mind getting the bumper off since I removed it a couple times now so Im kinda used to it.

Till this day I still have the stock intake with just upgraded filter. It's not until I hit 419whp and 352wtq where it became an issue. AVO intake kit is already on order.
Is your car still stock motor?

I'm in the process of having the motor built. Car ran perfectly fine and never gave me any issues. Decided I wanted more power so I decided to save money in the long run and prevent it from going boom and built it. Custom motor build and stage 4 kit will be in for the next dyno tune. Looking in pushing the car to its limit. I think 375whp is the safe line when it comes to a good tune. Anything passed that on a factory motor is just a ticking time bomb.

thanks!
It might fit, does it look similar to the sandwich plate used in the AVO oil cooler kit?

Agreed about the power level. I was well above that on my turbo setup and that didn't go very well.

I think it might fit but that box is huge.
The lines in my kit are vertical, so I will have to move them closer to the oil cap.

What happened with your car once you went above that sort of power? I'm currently on the stage 3 AVO kit and waiting for my forged pistons, con rods, and stronger valve springs to be installed so that I can run more boost. But I'm interested to hear what gave up on your motor in case that's something else that I might need to strenghten

I'm in a similar position - AVO turbo and waiting for motor to be built so I can run more boost, but I'm not running quite as much power as you at the moment (probably only about 300 whp). Did you have any issues with the gearbox at all at over 400 whp? I see a lot of people saying the tranny is going to destroy itself at that kind of power, but not that many actual real world experiences from people who are running over 400 whp

I've got 6 normal tickets and two premium tickets available to AVO Turbokit customers for 86fest in California. I'm giving away the two premium tickets to people that will put their cars in our booth (two cars total) and the rest for free to owners of the kit!
I need to know asap so I can get it set up.
