They look legit to me. Have the right milled out markings and the sticker. I believe when I started to search for them, there were not many distributors for them.

While I don't feel as strongly as Orbital, I will decline your request of blueprints. Not only is that a lot of measuring on my part, but it is also plagiarism. I don't support that, sorry bud.

For everyone else following this thread: I have returned the F7 arms I purchased. The main reason was that I couldn't get a response from F7 on the issue. My secondary issue was the obvious production issues.

With that being said, I finally did receive an email response from F7 today, albeit after the arms had already been picked up by UPS. This is the F7 email:

Quote:
Travis,

Thank you for the feedback on our products. JHPUSA is an official distributor for Function7 and the products carried by them are genuine.

Our regular arms are not coated but have been treated with a passivation process that is part of our manufacturing process. From your description, the arms you received may have not been given the final cleaning/inspection before being shipped. This is likely an oversight by our newer staff and we will be glad to remedy the situation either directly through us or JHPUSA.

Regards

-Adrian

So, @chutrain, looks like the ball is in your court to finish this review and give your final impressions.

Glad they stepped up and gave you a response, albeit a little late, but something to show they are willing to support their product. It will be just a little time before I put these one. Probably wait till it warms up a bit in the Northeast.

I don't know that anyone knows the camber range yet. I'd guess it to be close to +/- 1.5° though, which should be enough to dial in almost any suspension, except maybe the guys going crazy stance with the car.

Hahahaha giving dimensions of the angularity and intersection of an angle to a datum and width and length of an object and hole locations isn't plagiarism .... Nor am I trying to steal one customer from anyone .... Last time I checked , taking the basis of one persons design and adapting it to your needs is what tuning was about !
If not ...
Does that mean every aftermarket control arm manufacturer is plagiarizing toyota or Subaru respectively !?
No they aren't! what they did do is take the stock angles of the suspension and tweaked them for what they wanted to achieve... I wanted to do the same thing albeit from a part that was made to adjust in a direction the stock component doesn't ...
Secondly I don't remember specifying that I was trying to steal anything .... I was Getting an idea to manufacture my own design for personal use ... Not steal customers from anyone!

Lastly
I am pretty sure I asked the OP a fellow machinist for dimensions not half the people in the forum who don't have any idea what it takes to create a machined part on a Cnc vertical mill using master cam and solid works ...
I am getting really sick of every know nothing troll in the internet giving their two cents because they have some kind off self proclaimed moral high ground ....

Why is there no protective coating on these? These need to be anodized.

No problem. Why not just yank your control arm and get the measurements you need though? It's only a hour worth of work, and then you can get every piece of data you need.

I agree. I know that anodized finishes will get beat up and eventually corrode and fail, especially under a car where stones will hit it on a regular basis, but it does need some kind of coating.

The arms I'll be buying are the new Voodoo 13 units, which have a hard anodized finish and should stand up to abuse the best. We'll see if their QC is better than F7's.

I will tag you in my initial post to notify you. The arms are supposed to be shipping third week of February, so there's a bit of a wait unfortunately.
