Geez, what is it with all these Florida dealers and they're ridiculous mark-ups?

It's like they called each other and orchestrated this whole scheme so that all of them would have markups in a giant, douchebag conspiracy.

price fixing, people still do that in this internet age? well i be damn, you would think oil company with be the first one to try... wait they did, somebody call the government please! lol i kid, i dont want to get into the whole political discussion at all.

one of my cousin is "threatening" to move to tx with me since he can't get this car anywhere in orlando hehe

You're talking about the same L.A. where cars are viewed as toys and fashion accessories? Don't get your hopes up too high. It's the first market I would expect to have markups for most dealers, but like anywhere else there will be some selling at MSRP. The ones that see the whole picture and try to sell their dealership and not just a single car, just have to look.

it already did for the BRZ. Puente Hills Subaru per the whole socal group buy thread wanted to charge $10K markup.

Yeah man I heard about that happening at p.h. but my salesperson at hamer scion promised no mark-up but i guess i wont know until i see it with my own eyes....if it is marked up i will have no problem taking my money elsewhere.

South East Toyota markup. This totally goes against Scion's Pure Pricing structure. Shame on them.

"Pure Pricing" is supposed to be the dealer selling the vehicle at the price they advertise. The dealer listed on the window sticker addendum in the original post (Toyota of South Florida) shows 4 FR-Ss on their web site with prices ranging from $26,742 to $27,605. So I guess the $6990 mark up is an in-house special?

so thats it then. dealers will be the scourge of this car. lets make a car thats fun and affordable! actually. lets just make a car thats fun that people want! and then we'll charge way too much. and not sell any. and then we can stop making it. because we didnt sell enough but we cant figure out why. yay

i havent confirmed it yet but supposedly keith pierson toyota has a white one for 37500.00 before ttl couldnt exactly understand the guy on the phone but i think it' possibly was one of the first 86 and then the guy changed his mind on the color when it arrived and ordered a different one. may go by after work and see if it's true. otherwise the other dealer in town is adding 5000.00 for market adjustment.
