Edit: never mind I see in the config it says ZA1JA01G. I’m on B01C. Darn.

@ermax

For oil temp in your B01C use same scaling as A01G subsiture in ram address below.
Ot will come out as celcius though

B01C/B01D Oil temp address
Ram_Engine_Oil_Temperature FFF8DC20

Arduino based Boost control

The other issue with opensource development is a complete unbricking solution for these ecu. Software guys often brick the ecu, Their is no full unbrick solution for thix ecu yet, i know a guy whos bricked several trying stuff.

So its certianly possible to do opensource boost, but you wont have electronic boost control intergrated like ecutek or map switching.

The chances of someone develloping opensource features similar to ecutek are pretty slim i think you guys on evo and wrx were very lucky..

Realisticly if you wsnt say map switching and other high end features above what oft guys have then id say just buy ecutek, unfortunatly you tunes eill be locked excetp got maybe James Martin from HRI tuning and i thing VitVviper tuning

If you use an arduino based flex fuel analyzer it would be extremely easy to add a second voltage output to control boost based on e85 content. Have it run waste gate pressure at 50hz and 12psi at 135hz.

I could write the code for anyone who's interested for an arduino based flex fuel and integrated boost control.

With the can solutions that are coming out, it would be possible to program in boost control by gear etc... anything that be read on the fly and converted to a voltage or frequency signal can be programmed in to a arduino based controller.

It's time we started seeing and using canbus for the benefits instead of just the negatives.

IOW, we don't have to be able to program everything into the engine ecu. We can start creating our own controllers for additional features.

A simple algorithm that will adjust voltage output going to an electronic boost controller based on gear inputs as well. So it would be incrementally increased based on a combination of FF sensor freq and reported gear.

Jaden

p.s. In a way this would be even better than Ecutek's solution because you aren't limited by the number of inputs, i.e. you can keep both O2 sensors and still have flex fuel AND boost control.

I have that one, thanks. What I look for is targeted AFR or AFR_Command. It's not super important, but it would be nice to have.

Oh duh. Missed the “command” part.

paramname = AFR_command
paramid = 0xFFF8DBE8

I'll contribute with a bit better B01C logcfg.txt than the earlier ones linked.

c/f mph/kph bar/psi - default metric.

Luckly A01I and A01G ecu ram addresses for logging are same, ie jist use A01G ram addresses
