Well, I had the intention of going to Sewell today to get my trade appraised and to go ahead and fill out a credit application. I start my work week during my BRZ's ETA of 6/18 so I wanted to knock out as much as I could ahead of time. Brady and I talked on the phone and he asked when I'd arrive as a heads-up, as a delivery was coming in and he'd have to step away from his post during that time.

As I was about to sit in my car, Brady calls up again with a "surprise." As it turns out, my BRZ was on the aforementioned delivery! A few hours later, I got to take it home...

(Here's the car when I arrived. They went to work on it once they found out I was there.)

(And for now enjoy these "wonderful" phone camera pictures.)

And just a few comparison shots next to my '09 Legacy. I'm gonna miss it!

I'm not going to get to say that I have the only BRZ in North Texas anymore

You need to start coming out to the meets, there's five of us already!

I think it's still a safe bet that you'll be the only DGM for a while, though.

And Elleteeh, supposedly Sewell doesn't drill the fronts of any of their vehicles, or at least that's what Brady said. I have all the mounting hardware in the trunk, though.

Oh, and where are the meets taking place? As a heads-up, I can only attend half of them each month due to my work schedule.

Thanks man! That's good news for all of us that ordered there then. Quick question, how long did you drive your Legacy without the front license plate? 'Cause I will never put a front plate on if you never had any issues with your car.

It's a Beauty! Grats Fitch. I think the next meet is Wednesday in Arlington. CarbonBlue and a few of the other guys know the details.

I was pulled over twice in the three years I owned it. Both times I gave the reasoning that mandatory front plates was a new concept to me. I'm a pretty polite guy, so that probably helped me get off the hook both times. If I ever was to actually get a ticket for no plates, I just consider this a "vanity tax."

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if anyone else at Plano has received theirs yet? Kind of funny to see only Feedbag coming forward out of 15 (17?) yet two of Sewell's seven are already out in the wild.

I still don't even have a date yet for my Limited 6MT WRB. Over memorial day weekend I was told 6/25 and that I should receive a VIN in about a week. Fast forward two weeks and the delivery date disappeared from their system and still no VIN. Anyone else having the same issue at Sewell Subaru?

If anyone in the DFW is looking for a spot to get a BRZ; there is one now available at Sewell. I cancelled my pre-order today, and I'm not sure if they have started going down their contact list or not. I highly doubt the spot will last long because I was #4 originally and 3 have already been delivered. Give them a ring when you can.
